Hmm, I've got a really unsettled feeling tonight, I don't know why, just an anxiety type thing. So I have just cleaned out the food cupboards and am working my way round the kitchen. Not the average way to spend Boxing Day but it keeps my mind off other things when I feel funnyMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

So most of the kitchen is done, I've cleaned and sorted the food cupboards, cleaned all the tiles, cleaned out the bottle holder bit, emptied the dishwasher, sorted all the rubbish and recycling ready to go in daylight tomorrow and then I did the oven ... I tried that thing that I saw in the Daily Mail
the other day, you take out all the shelves etc, wrap each one in tinfoil, put them all in the bath and cover with hot water, then add a dishwasher tablet and leave for two hours ...
Honestly, I was sceptical too, but with minimal wiping I now have shiny, like-new, oven shelves again :T :T Super happy with that job tonight
I've also counted the penny jar (all odd coins 20p and under get chucked in that are lying around), currently up to about £37. I will keep adding to it until we go on holiday and it will be spending money for us when we go ashore
I just watched Rich House, Poor House Xmas special. I love that programme. Off to see if I can find out what the top 10% / bottom 10% income is, I reckon I'm headed for the bottom 10% once my income drops next summer. I know it's stressing me a lot, I need to sort a plan ...Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Didn't take me long to find it ... so roughly they reckon its if, after housing and utility bills, you have about £150 left a week.
Once my income drops, after my mortgage, council tax and electric/gas I reckon I'll have roughly £190 a week. Bring it onMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

We currently have £83 per week after mortgage and utilities so you'll be fine. It gets a bit boring sometimes but it's doable,"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0

Thanks Pooky, I'm sure it can be done but it seems scary and such a drop from my income now.
I had a rubbish nights sleep, all sorts was whirring round my head, I eventually went off at about 4 this morning and woke up at 9.30. I do feel better today though so hopefully it will be a productive one. I'm planning on a PJ day for most of it though, I don't need to go anywhere that I can think of, and if I do go out I'll spend money, so it will be a blitzing the place, making plans kinda day, my favourite
Plenty of food to use up, the kitchen is pretty much sorted and blitzed which was nice to come down to this morning. I have stripped both beds and the first load is in the machine, hopefully I can get it on the line for a while today. I've nearly met todays swagbucks goal too, and I have enough for a £5 amazon voucher from there already this weekMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Bathroom cleaned, my bedroom cleaned and tidied, all the rubbish and washing up is out of ds room, the chain bit has been attached to the bottom of the vertical blinds in the lounge, first load of washing pegged out, second load is in the machine, loads of clean washing has been put away and I have just had to buy a new hoover. My Dyson has been on its last legs for ages, and today has literally fallen apart. So I have gone for a Shark this time, I have always been so loyal to Dyson but that last one didn't last too long so have gone for a change. I have gone for a stick one, its corded rather than cordless, (cheaper and better suction), but I don't have a storage cupboard so the Dyson has lived at one end of the lounge, whereas this should hopefully fit into the airing cupboard. It was £136 on Amazon and will come from the household budget. Not money I wanted to be spending but I knew it was going to happen sooner or later. It should be here by Saturday.Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Sharks are meant to amazing (slightly hoover obsessed here due to array of animals) my American friends talk about them in hushed tones!
I really sorry the system is so !!!! Benben, I have always genuinely admired how you do everything with such grit and determination. Am sure the income drop won't beat you.
Take care and have a lovely break XXXNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Thank you Buffy, I'm sure I'll manage one way or another but it does feel very daunting right now. I do however feel like I'm getting my money-making mojo back again
I'm going to have my bath in a bit then might look at some new bookies for some matched betting
I can't do pj days, I always worry someone will ring the doorbell :rotfl:
