Good of Mr Trainer to keep the price the same. He obviously thinks you're worth it, like the L'Oreal ads!

Yep, kids are breaking up for the holidays at the end of this week. Maybe the parents will take them to the beach if the weather's nice, or any number of the attractions down there, like Monkey World.
  • Thanks gigervamp :)
    I can't relay with hair commercials anymore . Is wash'n'go still around?:D

Haha, I don't know! I've been using Alberto Balsam for years, because it's only a quid, and smells nice!
  • I remember Alberto balsam ..and Wella :rotfl: Who said I'm old ?

Yesterday , I actually stayed in and did proper housework . I say housework , but in a small flat . This also entailed decluttering my bedroom . Actually proper room to move in there at last .
I need to sneak a couple of pieces of a small wooden shelving unit and dispose of it in the communal recycling bin over the coming weeks. The bin should've been emptied this morning . 2 weeks until they come back again . It was worse than over flowing . Not sure if the foxes gate crashed a party but it looked like it earlier in the week.
There is a small family who basically have hogged it more than any of us since they moved in a few months ago. They are moving out in August so it'll be interesting to see if the new people are as messy.

Yesterday my right eye has gone bloodshot . Myasthenia gravis / ptosis normally starts in the left eye .
Initially a few years back , my left eye was bloodshot for weeks and I ignored it and carried on working . Not the brightest thing to do .
When I saw the pharmacist in boots ( not wearing them ) , he advised me to go to my gp , who sent me straight to moorfields eye hsp and the rest is history . So, I am going to the chemist for eye drops shortly , in the rain . Glad it's raining . Much needed. Sorry if that offends :D

This morning I decided to scan the universal credit fitness to work questionnaire and covering letter. I also had to scan and print the letters from mr specialist and appt for Poole hsp mouth examination in August . That was fun .printer Run out of ink . I get replacements automatically sent in the post by Epsom . I may have to contact them ,as I only barely managed to print documents after many attempts via reinserting the empty ink cartridges . Having said that, home printers and scanners have come a long way over the years .

I need to put my name and n I no on all of the documents I'm sending to universal credit . I'll start later and see how far I can get scribbling on approx 85 pages .

I received the letter from Poole, Christchurch and Bournemouth council regarding our next vote and who lives at my address etc.
You've all probably got the same . A hung parliament isn't a bad thing really. Ideally on lots of trees .

Strange sleep pattern . I had about 4 hrs . Woke up around 2.30 am
Fell asleep on two occasions afterwords between 4.30 and 7.30 so felt relaxed . I'd better go to the chemist .
    Have a good Friday ,.

Blimey, your hand's going to ache after doing all that writing! 85 pages?

My husband's working from home today, and he's got the radio on. He came in the living room to tell me that Sandbanks ferry is out of action until the 12th of August! (It was on the traffic report.)
We use the ferry when we're on holiday, and so far, have nothing booked yet! It's not going to affect us!

We usually book a week in May, and then another week in September, around my birthday, but when I checked availability for September at the flat we stay in, it was all fully booked. :( So don't know what we're going to do now. The reason we always book the same flat, is the fact that it's right above the beach, with a lovely terrace, so if I'm not feeling well enough to go out, I can sit out on the terrace and watch all the boats, and listen to the sea. There are a few other places along the same stretch, but they're twice the cost. Might have to suck up the cost, having a terminal illness means I don't know if I'll be around/well enough, to wait until next year.

Hope your eye is ok AC.
  • Hi gigervamp . Sorry to hear about that . Maybe you could get a cancellation ? If not , then it's best to pay more unfortunately if you can. Your health and happiness come first . Hope everything works out in your favour .

So I went to my local chemist . Not really a fan of that branch of Lloyd's pharmacy tbh. Different staff at different times , including the pharmacists .
I saw a nice pleasant and very helpful young lady. She spoke to today's pharmacist who is incredibly rude and blunt .
She never bothered to come over . She just asked a question and told the pleasant lady which one is suitable . Filled with confidence ? No!
Filled with hatred ? Absolutely . She had all the charisma of a prisoner facing the electric chair . Still , having said that , the eye drops may work ..

I was going to venture out to branksome ,but the weather is clammy .
Especially when I have to wear a light rain jacket .
I'll probably do that tomorrow .

Thanks AC. I will be looking for a cancellation. We found that flat originally when I was looking for late bookings, so it may be possible.

That pharmacist doesn't have a very good bedside manner! Hope the drops work though.

AC, you seem to be handling all the paperwork and demands of UC admirably. Signing 85 pages?? Well done.:T

Personal trainers are not cheap and he has probably had good business from you so I am glad he has kept prices the same for you. You deserve it after being loyal to him for so long.

I hope your sleep settles down.

Gigervamp, sorry to hear of your circumstances. I admire your approach to your holiday. Watching the boats and taking in sea air can only be a good thing. Fingers crossed for a cancellation, and you should definitely go regardless of price if you can. :)

  • Thanks DIA:) . Once I have actually done it , the documents of justification and questionnaire are ready to be taken to the post office to post . I expect sweet f a for my efforts but nothing ventured etc..:o

Before I moved from my last home , I paid for a site where you can download MP3's very very cheap . I used my nationwide bank at the time and had about £80 worth of credit . Not sure if the company is Russian or whatever . Could be Southampton based who knows .
Anyway my old Mac mini was slower than brexit actually happening.
Plus the fact that for the life of me , I couldn't remember the password for the website . I gave up , and tried randomly to see if I can remember it . Then I had a brainwave , and actually tracked down my password and access to the site :j
What does that mean ? It means I still had over $ 90 and spent yesterday downloading loads of stuff. Lots of rare and remastered stuff. I will still buy the occasional cd as soon as they are released but I will use this website more often also. I'll pay via PayPal also.
Some albums are less than a dollar . It means I don't have to traipse fleabay for rare film soundtracks at outrageous prices . Plus of course those hard to come by ltd releases .
  • Well, a couple of confusing days .
On Saturday met up with friend , and wasp in pub . I shouldn't really drink sweet cider outdoors . Ended up with red face and head from the sun .
I then had a look at my Vodafone tariff as I'm free to leave etc.
I went on the leaving page of the website and ended up going sim only . £12pm plus £3 for 100 pic messages . TBH , I think apples ideas are dying once Steve jobs died . I don't need or want a new iPhone while the SE is working well . If I need to change back after 3 months onto a phone tariff I can . I did try to go sim only a couple of years ago but Vodafone made a pigs ear of it ,nearly changing my no along the way . This time , it was done properly .

Yesterday , I had to collect one of my basses I put in for repair from a remote location between Poole and Bournemouth . All good if you have a car . Anyway , I paid a fee when handing it in , and expected to pay more for labour etc. However there was a mx up and I got refunded . The manager and staff were not too sure how to proceed .
I said the best thing to do was to repay the initial charge and if they need more then contact me . Good karma and all that. This is the bass I was gonna sell . Not sure now ,as I enjoyed playing it yesterday :D

On checking my statements I noticed that Skipton never transferred some money from my 45 day notice Acct. . Not impressed .
Apparently after giving notice , I have to call them again on the day the actual transfer should take place . They never received the second phone call so funds were not released this month.
I spoke to an adviser on the phone ,and requested it to go through in 45 days time . This means although the funds will be released on 4th sept , I have to call them again on 4th sept for funds to be released .
Pita . Still there are much worse problems ..

Last night around bedtime I received texts about a what's app code.
I'm not on what's app . I thought maybe Vodafone did something .
What happened is a bit of a shock..

This morning I saw mr trainer again . Before we had our session , he has put me on Facebook and what's app. It was him !
Ok , that's not the only thing . He posted my before and after pics on his Facebook / what's app pages . So I already have comments and thumbs up from people I don't know . I'm a bit shy of things like that and something I wouldn't do myself . I very rarely use Facebook . I don't do antisocial media . This is a bit of a shock .
I did ask him to make sure he doesn't put me on the village people webpage . I'll leave it there for now :o:eek:...
