  • Thanks moo . I promise :)...
  • Just applied for 2 jobs . More practice . I was going to apply for another , but expiry date passed. Still getting swamped with way too many emails from agencies .
Today is a bit on the cloudy side . Amazing really , that yesterday was a nice vibrant sunny day and I had to stay in all day . Still , at least I got closure on the heating situation .

Will redo the council tax form soon. I am due statement from nationwide . Once I have that , I will send everything off and forget about it .

Took me a while to get to sleep last night , but did eventually in the early hours . I think part of that was due to me falling asleep yesterday afternoon and being woken up by the engineer and phone call simultaneously . Could be the prednisolone reduction .
Still on course for stopping that .
Gotta go food shopping now ...
  • Applied for another job via total jobs . What I tend to do , is to let emails build up until the end of the day , and sift through them all the next day and apply if necessary .
One job I'm not sure if it's any good or a con : "work from home "..

Hey AC now you're really moving on this job search stuff :)

Not sure about those work from home ads either. Perhaps some careful research needed - google could be your friend.

I also think a job where you get out and meet people would be good for you socially, especially as you're still relatively new to the area.
  • Thanks moo :)

I had a small victory otherwise today . With the myasthenia gravis , getting up / down stairs has been becoming more problematic .
I normally wait for the train to pass , on the crossing in the high street . Today I just thought ," to hell with it " and walked over the steps . That was a good sign for me . Need to keep that up ..
  • Met up with friend on weds, and had quiz night . We came 5th out of 15 teams .
Yesterday I received a rejection for another position I applied for .
Practice , so I won't get too upset at this stage . It gives me another chance to make an entry into the universal credit journal anyway .
I will sort out the council tax this weekend .
    Have a good one ...

Good attitude with the job rejection AC, don't let it slow you down just get into a nice rhythm of looking for more to practice on!

Good luck with council tax application and enjoy your weekend. At risk of becoming a total weather bore it's simply a really lovely day here today so I'm going to enjoy it myself :):)

Onwards and upwards AC, don't let things slip or before you know it another week/month/year will have slipped by. I know I've said this before but lists are the key to time management.

You've done so well in so many areas, just that final push and application on the finances/job front needed now.
  • Thanks moo and harz:)
I have spent the last hour going through all the " jobs " sent to me via the multitude of sites. Most of those are nothing like they say they are. Recommended indeed ..
it's nice to know that you think that I've done well in so many areas , and I do know that I am now in the hardest part . The good thing is that I am motivated and aim to continue to do so obviously .
I have yet to have any communication / instruction from the work coach . Still, that'll happen eventually .
I surprised everybody with my decision back in 2016. Obviously people asked if I was doing the right thing . How am I going to get a Job etc , but as you know my life was in bits for years.
I have had 2 great years, albeit ill most of that time but I just need a final break to get income in . We'll see.

I didn't do the council tax this weekend . I had things to do . I was going to do it this afternoon , but the kids upstairs were running everywhere . There's me struggling with space in my flat .
The people upstairs : 1 lady / 1 boy / 1 girl / junior school ages. 1 bawling baby and a man that visits the baby a couple of times a week to wind it up .
The other flat above me will have tenants shortly . Probably within the next 2 weeks . Letting agreed .

Back to see mr ,Trainer tomorrow .
Still on 0.5 prednisolone , so it's not all bad . It looks like the middle of next month that I will stop that aktogether ..
  • There have been so many good changes for you over the last couple of years. Just one suggestion would be to look at agencies - I don't know if you have put a reason why this is not possible. It may be a good way back in to work as you may just get a few days a week before you find something permanent.
