I would be careful to reduce your prednisolene very carefully. I reduced a tablet too quickly/too much and suffered from serious sleep disturbance and felt overwhelmingly depressed. You sound a bit like that talking of selling up and being treated badly in a new job. I don’t see that as inevitable. Try to keep an open mind. You might find the work interesting and meet some nice people.0

Hello Flo
Thanks for the tips . I do try and stay optimistic as much as possible .
I have never claimed benefits of any sorts . ( only once in jan 2007 after being made redundant from my best ever job . Only went twice to the job centre .) even then I was told that I wasn't entitled to council tax help , until about 5 letters later. When I restarted working as a temp , I had to payback the 2 weeks I was given . Hence my hatred of the system . Up to that point I had been less than 6 months unemployed since I left school . You could be right about the side effects of the reduction . The annoying thing is , that and the azathioprine have made me put on masses of weight. I am anxious to get rid asap as if I get back to a normal weight , then I think I have
achieved more or less everything I set out to do . I'll explain more ..0 -
Okay , I have still been steady in my approach to fitness .
I even purchased a proper windcheater and raincoat . When it rains here , it really pours . I need to get back to 3 times a week . I do stuff at home from weds -sat anyway .
Sat was my birthday. Got hammered . Surprisingly no hangover ..just tiredness . I couldn't lie in , as I had an amazon pack of scissors being delivered . Broke a pair on Friday .
Today , I saw mr . Trainer and he gave me a really good letter for the specialist at st Thomas's in London where I have to be tomorrow
Hoping Mr.Doctor doesn't cancel or is very late again:mad:
That letter will be useful if I have to 'sign on ' or whatever around the end of jan , which I am dreading
So , I got a good price on the train fare ( surprisingly ) and Booked tkt
However, collecting the tkts is a pita:mad:
I turned up to my local station , nobody there obviously . I put my card into the machine to collect my tkts . The machine decided to freeze and give me an error message . The other machine is out of order also. I saw a nice couple . The lady put her card in there . Same problem . So I phoned south worsen railway . I was told by a polite lady that the machine has been reset . She did say that if I wanted to use another station to collect tkts... I stopped her there .
I told her politely that at 730 am I cannot do that . I also told her I have a booking reference and if the machine does not work tomorrow when I need it , I will not purchase another ticket and be ripped of by south worsen railway when I have already paid . Swt have a reputation of treating people like crap and creating criminals instead of listening to the problems they create by greed . When I used to have an oyster season tkt and the barriers wouldn't function properly they were slow, arrogant and awkward . I have the name of Megan who I spoke to today , so if there are issues the tkt inspector can check. We'll see.
So tomorrow will be interesting , good or bad .
I have issues with my central heating . Apparently , the radiators need to be " balanced ". In other words , I have a rad in the living room where the top is warm and the bottom freezing . The grubby people living previous ( seller let flat out before I got it) have removed a couple of handles so I will have to get a pliers and try to loosen the controls . If that doesn't work, then I may have to call out the people I have a contract with ( rapid ) and get them to do a power flush or whatever to put things right .
Guess that's it for now . Happy Monday0 -
Wow ! What a day ..
Left home at 7.15 am . Ticket machine fine . There was an issue with the trains already ,before 7am . Something to do with Woking .
Train arrived in Waterloo about 10 mins later, which was good going considering the circumstances . So , I walked as fast as I could to the hsp for my 10.30 am appointment . Got there at 10.20
I sat down for approx 10 mins ,and my name was on the screen .
No bloodtest before I saw mr. Specialist . Just straight in on time ...
Mr. Specialist kept telling me how proud he was of me ,and loved the letter I gave him from mr. Trainer . He will Be writing to him .
He admired my determination of reducing the prednisolone .
He has advised me to reduce to 1 mg after Christmas . So, 1 st of jan it is . I asked him about the weight etc . He told me he was astounded by what he is seeing and says the weight will fall off me once the prednisolone is finished and out of my system . I asked him if I could be off of it by Easter . Yes , I can be done with it by Easter .
Fantastic news , if I can continue .
I asked him about the azathioprine . He told me it isn't a steroid ,but it is doing me good to stay on it . Also ,it is only the prednisolone that is putting on the weight . Great news there . So, I will keep plugging away . It shows that unlike Teresa May, I am strong and stable and not a coward like macron :rotfl:
Just heard , a lot of trouble at parliament at the moment .
Getting back was hard work . Cancellations and delays at Waterloo, because the Woking problem hasn't been rectified .
Took me over 3 hours to get home . Still , that's done now and I don't have to go back for another 6 months or so ..0 -
Well, that's excellent news AC! This time next year, you could feel like a new man!
Have a happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -

Thanks a lot Mrs. P
Banging my head against a brick wall most of the time . I really hope that mr. Specialist is right in what he says . Sounds like I just have to carry on0 -
