    Hello AC,

It's been lovely catching up on your diary. Things seem to be moving along in a good direction for you. I can see you have a potential job, so need to read back further to find out more information there.

The commute is generally the worse part of any job.

I'm so impressed that Mr Trainer is still around too. I'm so bad at committing to fitness goals, so you've inspired me a bit.

Have a great week and I hope all goes well with sorting the contract for your new job.

  • Hello MT :)
Nice to see you here again . The new job is due to start next Monday  It's only part time , but it's a start . TBH , I think that money and routine is the only way I can lose weight ( gym ) . ( yes I know it's mse :rotfl:) Thankfully , I'm not paying London prices but am sticking to a routine as much as possible . It's part of the plan I had when I decided to move . I always say that a good routine is the key to anything . Awkward jobs and awkward locations are massive downers to me . Anyway , you are far healthier being a vegetarian / vegan?:D
Back to your diary in a moment . You're doing great :)

So, what's been going on ?? Well, yesterday , is the second anniversary of the last day of my last job in London . :j
Next Sunday ,is the 2nd anniversary of the actual move to Poole .
Storm Angus / heavy wind and rain/ overpacked travelbag feeling like I'm carrying a donkey/ Train broke down on the way to my first temporary apartment . And so on. But...it was worth it :) So far anyway. :rotfl: ( Lots of icons in this paragraph ) .

Last week I got measured , weighed again etc. Something I dread .
I turns out I haven't gained anymore weight . The good news is my calorie intake has improved by 60 calories a day . Something like that
TBH , I expected weight gain because of the massive joint pain due to the reduction of prednisolone .it meant I couldn't do the step up I could do previously . However, it won't be too long before I'm back to that level . Mr.Trainer has put me through my paces today and is still very impressed . My overall feeling is that , once I get rid of the prednisolone ( hopefully by the spring) the weight should just fall off .
The azathioprine could be reduced and that too would be good if mr specialist at the hospital allows it .

James is coming back to check the flooring in the bathroom on Friday
There is no damp smell. The water has all dried up. He seems to think that I may have had a lucky escape . Fingers croseed .

Everything else is ticking along ..

Wow, has it been 2 years already? How time flies.
  • Well , yesterday was the 2nd anniversary of the relocation to Poole .
The awakward rubbish run with my brother and his friend, overfilled bag, storm Angus , the train breaking down on the way, not actually getting into the rented flat on Poole quay until approx 9.30 pm.
Having endured all of that , I felt a massive calmness and weight off of my shoulders .

So, one of my neighbours upstairs has moved out on Saturday . One or two things for her to collect still. Hoping that the next neighbours are equally as good ..fingers crossed.
Had a couple of Guinness with my friend . He thinks the weight is still coming off .

I treated myself to one last musical luxuary to myself . What I will say that , it is an investment and will definitely hold its resale value .
I was going to wait until Black Friday , but bizarrely enough I found one retailer selling lower than anyone else by a lot . The price fluctuates. Maybe something to do with the dollar ?
One other thing to note , is that I'm over paying on my energy and water bills ,so that takes care of it more or less.
Also, I may offload one of my bass guitars at some point ,and I would get more for that than the cost of my musical gift to myself should I decide to sell, so please don't frown too much :o:D

On Saturday , I received 3 letters from Poole council regarding my council tax . Two of those were cheques. It was down to my valuation band . I received £53.13 in total . I had to phone them up to clarify, and explain the bizarre outstanding balances they said I owe .
I owe £196.00 as I correctly thought and will pay that on Dec 1st .

Just saw mr. Trainer . Great session . He was gonna get me to do shuttle runs etc but decided not to as I have to start my new job in a couple of hours .

Yes, the day of reckoning had finally come ,and I start this evening .
  • Good Luck with the new job tonight. Hope it goes well.

    Good luck AC :T:T:T
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • Very coy about the musical gift..... but I’ll admit to always buying myself something before any other xmas shopping, it’s my own personal tradition so obviously I approve :rotfl:
Good luck with the job AC, I hope you have friendly colleagues and you enjoy the new experience.
