Yes ok , I think DIA . Thanks for reminding me :)
Glad Christmas is out of the way . I was McCauley culkin.
Probably just me , but I think the best tv over Christmas was the tiger who come to tea , and the snowman. I haven't grown up yet .

I was at seetec pluss this morning discussing my job requirements .
I'm not feeling great about it , but I'm complying with everything hoping for a break next year .
The guy I'm seeing keeps forgetting my name and gets me mixed up with someone else. He thinks I'll get employment soonish . I'm not so sure .

The money transferred from pension has cleared overdraft for now .
( something I never had until a few months ago.) Also cleared the credit card which paid for the sofa.
I will take out more to put towards boiler .
Not more money from pension, but from the money I had transferred.
I had made the decision to buy a double divan bed yesterday , with 4 drawers and should have it within the next couple of weeks.
It's something that I should've done when I moved into the flat .
Trouble is , I had people telling me I didn't need a new bed or sofa and tbh I listened to people rather than going with my gut instinct .
Still , that's all the essential spending done . Hopefully for a very long time .

This year has been the worst since my life changing situation . Mr trainer being the exception . I hope to stick with him and lose more and tone up next year and keep things going .
I'm not sure whether to do another diary or not . This one has been longer than expected and there are things that still need to be done.

Anyway, happy new year if anyone's still reading this .

Still listening and watching here AC. As this thread is over 1k now, starting a new one is probably a good idea, just put a link to this one in your first post, and vice versa as a last post here.

I agree the TV was largely carp over Christmas, but 4th Jan on sees a lot of new series starting so you'll probably be spoilt for choice...

Those of us that counselled you to stick with your old bed/sofa were I suspect doing so to avoid you falling into spendthrift ways and decimating your cash reserves, which lets face it would have been easy to do and disastrous without a proper income to support yourself. Certainly that was my intention.

Anyhow, chin up mate, you've done bloody well this year all things considered, so keep positive, set your goals for 2020 and we'll all be here in support. Happy New Year!
  • Thanks Harz:)
Glad that you've been there from the start and have basically seen everything . If you think I've done well, then that is good :rotfl:
I was a little put out about the funiture , but I was listening to James , my friend etc and if I got the furniture at the same time as I got the kitchen and bathroom done it would've been better. Then again , at least I've not got those things hanging over me . Thanks very much for your support . You always keep me on the path when you see fit .
    Always appreciated .
As you know , I do ramble so I guess new diary in the new year :)

There is a school of thought that a decade runs from the start of year one to the end of year ten, therefore 1.1.2011 to 31.12.2020, because there was never a year zero to start the process off, only a year one...
  • Thanks again for encouragement :)
I know one thing for sure , my first albeit unintentional diary was a major decision maker into what direction I needed to take .
It does seem that a new diary is the way to go, when I'm in the right frame of mind to do it .
I'll leave it there for now ..
  • Glad you got your pension money and it has made a difference for you.
I loved The Tiger WCFT too :)
It has been a tough year because of UC but you handled it admirably.
Hoping 2020 is good to you.
A new diary sounds like a good idea :)
