£15.88 in Aldi, first shop for a while, been using up stuff then got laid low for 3 days with a back spasm, calling Morries today as close by, running a friend to hospital for an x-ray, got £5 voucher to collect and 4000 extra points if I spend £40, as my friend and I are trying to quit smoking, again, started again because of pain, a feeble excuse I know, I will get some nicotine patches for us £36. which she will give me half. Still cheaper than cigarettes at nearly £8 a packet a day, patches will last 14 days.Do I need it or just want it.0

Morning all,
Had a small shop yesterday of £11.73. A bit cross with myself as most of it was for bits not really required such as biscuits, shop sandwich etc., but it transpires I was sickening again so will give myself some leeway. Anyway, I don’t need to shop again until next week when I have my online delivery as will need essentials such as washing powder, loo rolls etc.

Most DIY problems can be solved by a combination of spanner, pliers, screwdriver, Allan key and a blade. (Hold it, twist it, cut it!) Very occasionally industrial language, a hammer and an adhesive may need to be added to the mix. (Curse it, hit it, patch it!)0 -
Needed a couple of bits and got some YS bagels for breakfast and 12 YS pork chops so spent £8.46 so now on £83.15/ £190 with two weekly shops left to go, i m hopeful that we can be under budget.0

More spending yesterday on bits and bobs in various shops. Plus £10 spent on little cool bags to be used for carrying lunches instead of using plastic bags, so should save money in the long run. Managed a NSD today (but only because I’m too ill to go out :rotfl:)
Will be a bit touch and go whether we make this month’s target or not. This worries me a little as we had a lot of veg left over from Christmas so started from a good position this month. Next month will start from a rundown fridge and freezer and, while it will have only 4 ‘main’ shops (I shop on a Sunday), I’ll probably do a biggish shop on 1st Feb too (as I will have held off at end of Jan to help me scrape through this month!)
We shall see I suppose.LBM 23/09/13 - DFD 08/10/17 :T0 -

Did my main shop today, £60.29 in ald! and £22.19 in Tosco. That includes a large box of baby wipes, which will hopefully do all of Feb too and some cake bars/snack bits which should last the rest of the month.
Meal plan is done for the week. Going to use leftovers and make some soup for lunches, got loads of porridge and cereals for breakfast.
Currently at £309.45/£400 so it'll be tight next week.Grocery Challenge 2024
