Oh dear, not winning here! I spent another £22.50 at the county town market yesterday. That bought us meat for the next week, but not a lot else. Hopefully the spend at the market here tomorrow will be correspondingly less, but even then I will struggle to hit my target as there'll still be more than a week to go!

And we've had a couple of unanticipated expenses outside the food budget; new cars for OH's car, and a couple of his root canals need filling too... January isn't working out too well so far! But - we'll cope.

    Morning. A few nsds here.
Using up some leftovers today making veggie pad Thai for lunch so I can use the bean sprouts up before they go funny, have rice noodles and all the ingredients except peanuts in so without the peanuts!

Will probably need to shop tomorrow and then that’ll be it hopefully for another week. Hubby is on work leave next week though and he will probably eat more... through boredom :rotfl:

£20 spent at today's market, on some trout, some fruit & veg; just £50 left if I want to stay inside my self-imposed budget! That does look just about possible, but not exactly easy.

  • £84.40/£100 as of tonight, though £2.90 of that is baking stuff (it's for work, so I'm not risking DIY... baking I can do, edible baking gets a bit hit and miss and I do need this job!!)

  • A spend of £17.06 to add for today,
Toilet rolls and milk plus 2 packs of butter as on offer! (Forgot bread.. :o Oops, can wait till tomorrow now)
Eldest is out for the night, youngest had bacon, scrambled eggs and toast for tea (needed using up) and I opted for a really nice bowl of Tarka Dahl soup from m&s (bought when on offer!)
Really hopeful for my target this month, anything not spent will be put in a savings pot to pay towards a big thing (mot, car insurance) :T
Have a great weekend all.. What ever it is you do ;)

Yesterday and today have been nsds. Only left the house yesterday to go to the doctor, but been cooped up inside other than that, with absolutely no desire to go outside!

I will have to shop on Sunday, ready for the week ahead whether I'm better or not! Definitely have bread, milk, cheese and ham on the list so far.

Slipped over my target mainly due to the extra spending yesterday. Total now stands at £252.13/£240 and there will be another £5.00 or so spend tomorrow.
