  • I’m in for January. My month starts from today until the 31st January. I think it’ll be a long month as there will be five weekend shopping trips.

Budget is £275 for the month, covering food, alcohol and cleaning items.

I got a bit lax at this in 2017 - need to make 2018 a more successful venture!
    February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

    Happy new year all!
I am delurking and would love to join in with the grocery challenge again. We are a family of 5, budget to cover all meals, snacks, toiletries, household cleaning and school meals. We have lots of dietary requirements here; allergies, vegan, vegetarian, carnivores. Catering here is a nightmare. We have a whopping £500 budget. I aim to bring this down but have been loosing the battle. Anyway, new year so I'm up to attack again. Month starts on the 1st. I'm going to batch cook like a fiend. And loose weight, quit sugar, end poverty, world peace..... I'll tackle the budget first.
Thanks you to everyone running the thread. Xx
  • Thanks to all for running the thread please place me down for an estimated £250 for everything food/smellies/cleaning stuff starting from the 1st for 2 adults and a toddler.

    Hi all,

I am back for the January GC £250 please.

I have gone waaaay Off piste money wise and need to sort it out - you know when you are on a diet, and done really well, so you give yourself a little treat, say a piece of chocolate, then eat the whole bar... well I have done the financial equivalent of that, apart from it wasn’t a bar, it was the whole shop

So if any of you see me slipping, I want you to pop over and slap me :D
Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

    £300/£130
  • Thanks to all for starting the thread & maintaining it. Hope all had a good Christmas.

Can you please out me down for £140, this will be until 24/1/2018.

Have lots of leftovers from xmas, as we again over bought - Dec totals not added up - i dread to think.

Have a good rest of the week all and if I don't get on the thread - everyone have a good New Year and hope that 2018 is everything that you and your loved ones want it to be.

    SILx

Ooh, a lovely shiny new thread! Thanks to the organisers for keeping us all on track. :A

I'd like to be in for £140 please Jan 1st - 28th, just two of us, to cover groceries only (household, toiletries etc have their own separate budgets). Looking back over 2017, despite 3 months when I overspent, I managed to save £144 overall so I'm well pleased with that. I'm reducing my budget by £5 pw in an effort to save even more in 2018.

That's a bit drastic! Would virtual tutting and :naughty: do instead? :D
