Hi everyone!
2018 already! How did that happen?!! I've worked out that my annual budget for 2018 is £2000, but I will start the year with a budget of £100 for January. Should be easy, as I have tons of food here, including leftover meat, and I also have 4 weeks' worth of Apple juice cartons for the children's lunch boxes. I tend to bulk buy that, as aldililly often only has the orange juice in.
Just finalising the meal plan for January, using up lots of bits and pieces.
Happy new year everyone!

Hi, I'd like to join please. We really need to start saving money however I don't really know how much we spend, so I'll say £200 for this month as ball park and see how it goes. Thanks0

Hello, could I please set our monthly budget at £400. We are a family of three and a beautiful hound, we live in Sweden where unfortunately the cost of food (and everything else) is exceptionally high. This will include groceries, household (toiletries etc), dog food and alcohol.0

I also should have added our budget runs from the 1st till the 31st and we have a rolling bulk fund of £100 per month, anything not spent for groceries the previous month gets added.0

Could I join this challenge again please? Have tried, and failed miserably, in the past, but circumstances have changed, which means I'm far more likely to succeed now.
Three adults, three children, three giant dogs, thirty chickens, four fish and a ravenous cat. Erm...starting budget of £600. Gads, that sounds loads, but will include groceries, cleaning products, raw dog food and corn for the cluckies.

Can I join in please with a budget of £220 from 1/1/18 to 31/1/18.
I have meal planned until 31/1/18, I have made a list of all things I will need to buy fresh week by week.
I have a delivery tomorrow which will come out of the £220. All shopping will be on the credit card so there will be be no sneaky extras. It will be very visible at the end of the month and will be paid off in full.
I will take lunches to work and will make some bread and puddings.
I have even sorted out the freezer and everything that will feature on the meal plan has been moved to the top shelves.
I will be organised this year!0 -
Back for the January challenge now that Christmas is out of the way. I have a budget of £300 for this month, please but hoping to aim for less as both freezers are fit to bursting againThere is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. Put me down for an annual £3600 please0 -
Good morning All
Thank you, Zippy, for the new thread. Please put me down for £120 for January. This is for general grocery shopping. I have a separate budget for meat - which accumulates for months until we go to the butcher - and a “bulk fund” for when we go to Costco or WingYip or find a massive bargain in the supermarket. There’s just the two of us: me and my hollow-legged DH.
Many thanks.
