Change of address

Options
I have unpaid debt from banks and now I am moving to new address.

1) If I update my new address with DVLA, will my new address appear on credit report?

2) If I update my ADDRESS with basic bank account (where I keep money for priority bills), will my new address be known to other creditors with whom I have debt?

3) If I update PHONE NUMBER with basic bank account (where I keep money for priority bills), will my new phone number be known to other creditors with whom I have debt?

what are you hoping to achieve by running away and not providing your debtors with your new details?

The debts will continue to increase, they will then go to recoveries, DCAs and court. Your credit file will reflect this for 6 yrs.

You are far better to resolve the problem not bury your head in the sand if you are ever going to return to the UK.

Hello Mr. Detective :), My plans have changed, that's why I am updating my address with DVLA as I will be staying in UK. I don't know what you are trying to do here on MSE as your reply was useless (didn't answer any of my question).
Moreover, you said I am hiding from DEBTORS.... that doesn't make any sense at all. I have no debtors at all :)

Anyways, I will wait for a sensible person to reply to my original questions. If not, I will ask these questions from debt charity.

Normally with a little more detail, tailored suggestions are better.

If you were not coming back to the UK ever - then any advice regarding DCAs, CRAs, future credit, not receiving letters from your bank, creditors regarding court etc would be irrelevant.

As your plans have changed then the suggestions will change.

1 - No, the DVLA do not pass addresses to the CRAs. (although DVLA do pass on your address for driving offences, so I guess it depends who it gets passed to as to how long before it gets back to the creditors)

2 - That would depend if your basic account exchanges information with the CRAs - some don't.

3 - No - unless your basic account is with a banking group with whom you have creditors.

You contradicted yourself in your posts....first you say you have “unpaid debt from banks” then you say “I have no debtors at all”

Honestly, if you have debt, this is the BEST place to be. No one judges you or thinks you are stupid or less of a person for having debt - whatever or however that debt may have be or been accumulated.

    Being defensive says a lot.

Here is another NAIVE MSE expert who thinks DEBTORS AND CREDITORS are the same thing :). Good luck with your expert knowledge.

I will give you some knowledge so you don't waste time on these things in future :). I have CREDITORS (not DEBTORS). Being in DEBT is not same as DEBTORS. Being in DEBT means one has CREDITORS chasing him to pay back the debt
  • You came here asking for advice and just make snide comments.

If you know so much why don't you sort it out yourself and use the knowledge you boast that you have?

Just - wow - how rude!

The person originally offering advice read 'Debtor' as 'Debt' so you pounce on them rather than
anything else. Perhaps take you head out of your ar@e and get yourself sorted rather than trying to run away from your obligations!

No one here claims to be an expert - YOU are asking regular everyday people for their help or advice. If you need professional advice then that can be sought from the correct agency.

At the risk of lowering myself to your level of snide nastiness, your opening gambit is that the banks owe YOU money, not that it is your debt owed to the bank.

Normally, I'd be supportive in my comments, but TBH, I hope they find you, given how you responded to people on here.
