If you can cut £250 from your food shop over the next 3 weeks then you clearly have bigger issues than this credit card
  • i know realisitically im not going to find 250 before the 15th my weeky shop is 120 per week for a family of 5
im well within budget but its if i miss a payment i cant afford to pay double iykwim

This shows you SHOULD have money left after everything. You need to address why you don't. This is a good start but a few amendments are required which would see you with money to throw at the debts.

you can still do a comparison even on PAYG gas ;)

B&C insurance is still expensive unless you live in a huge house.

You need to consider putting money away for the items you've recognised that you don't currently.

Do you pay your friend - it needs to be accounted for if you do.

when you say rarely go out - take the amount of times you go out a year - divide by 12, this would be the amount that needs to go into that category.

You've certainly got a little bit of wiggle room to make adjustments and get the debts paid down.
