3 days till payday! Which means i can then pay £100 to very account.
Also my loan payment on the 1st will bring my loan under £10,000 i know thats still a lot but seeing it below that will really help my motivation.

I managed to get a £5 survey on prolific last night so i can cash out now but going to build it up a bit more first :)

Still waiting for £250 to come through from switching my bank account. Should be soon :)

2 days left till payday :)

I have been thinking things over and im not sure whether to put all my spare money to the wedding fund and get the money for that together first so i dont have the stress of not having enough by next june. Then i can relax and chuck everything to the debt?

I know the wedding is a luxury as such but its booked now and i really do not want to fund that important day with credit. Plus once that is paid i have another £100 available to pay to my debt.

Clearly im not brilliant with money hence my amount of debt, so what are your thoughts?

Just wanted to say well done and good luck with the wedding. We budgeted how much we needed to save each month as a minimum and paid what we could of cards at that time.
Just think everything through with the wedding, you can so easily get carried away. We spent a fair amount of money but only on the things that really mattered to us. Centrepieces were included with the venue and were plain but nice, same as chair covers etc. We didn't take out sweet carts or photobootbs either but spent a lot on rings which we'll have forever as well as my dress, nice suits etc.

    Thank you CreditCardJunkie!
I agree with you, to be honest i am being pretty good - i shopped around for photographer and dj because some companies wanted silly money! I have bougt my table decorations second hand because i came across someone selling exactly what i would have paid full price for but at fraction of cost.

I am doing a sweet table but doing it myself so ordered plastic jars etc from ebay instead of hiring one.

I have to admit my dress was a little bit silly i went way over on it, but i fell in love and i am so happy with it - i took a second job on to pay for it so will not get further into debt.

Finally tomorrow is payday! To say this month has been tough is an understatement.

Im on rhe red light and really dont want to use the last of my money for fuel.
If i dont i have £14 to pay to debt. I do owe the joint bills account £44 so think i will pay £10 to that and £4 to very.

I put a pair of shoes on depop last night for £20 and still waiting for my payout from prolific which can go to very aswell.

Looking forward to updating my totals tomorrow

Thought i would pop back for another update.

So im an auntie again - for the 4th time, which is lovely. But its my other nephews birthday tomorrow and all i can think about is whatever i spend now is x 4 twice a year. Does anyone have any advice on ways to do this in a sensible way. My sister showed me a scooter to get him for £40 and im not sure if i am being tight but that seems a lot now there are 4 of them??

The old me would have just done it and put it on the credit card but the new me who wants this debt gone doesnt want to do that.

    Hi Laura,

I've also just started my diary on here to pay off £21k of debt, and like you, I'm getting married this year too.

As far as the wedding goes I think we have everything covered. We're very fortunate that both sets of parents are contributing significantly to our wedding, and we are paying some ourselves too. When we ran the figures a couple of weeks ago we realised that the balance of our budget is similar to the amount we're getting from parents. So that's a result - it looks like the wedding is paid for.

We do have a balance of £3700 for our Honeymoon though, although we've done this as our wedding gift.... where our wedding guests can log onto the travel agents website and make a contribution. We're hoping that this will help significantly towards the balance, but that is one cost that we do still need to consider.

Anyway, good luck with the debt, and the wedding. I'll be subscribing to your diary and we keep an eye on how you're getting on :-)

    Hi Mahsroh,

Thats brilliant that you have help with the wedding, really does take a lot of stress away from it! Unfortunately neither sets of parents can help us so we are having to save like mad.

Great idea with your honeymoon, that is exactly what we are going to do - put a nice note in the invites asking for contributions towards that as we already have a house etc.

I will subscribe to yours too will be lovely to see your journey.

Your wedding is this year? How exciting i have to wait until next year for mine but in honesty that is good from a financial perspective x
