  • kerri gt - I know exactly what you mean!! The amazon list is a good idea, as I have to figure out what my parents can get him too. I think that makes it feel even more daunting trying to think of something, knowing I need to do it twice! eek!

Beshki - I'd try for the nothing but I know he's already bought me something. Funny story though one year my Nan told my Grandad she didn't want anything, time and time again he asked what she wanted and she just said nothing, so he didn't get her anything, my aunt still says that was the worst Christmas ever :rotfl:
I do have the Leeds weekend booked, but he's already pointed out thats more a present for myself :silenced: . He's annoying I tell you!

PinkUnicorn8 - I'm so glad you mentioned the M&S order I'll have to pop in and pick up a book when I'm in town Friday. The year before last all the free range turkeys were sold out by the time we went, and having chickens we're a bit funny about having happy turkey ( I just realised how ridiculous that sounds considering it's dead  ).

  • I just realised in less than 2 months all the Chrismtas markets I'm booked into will be over! I'm so not ready for them!

Great to see the thread moving on so fast. I've not been on just a few days and had 5 pages to catch up with. :j

Belated happy birthday Freespirit. Hope you had a great day xx

I succumbed and ended up walking round the Christmas section of Matalan and Home bargains. I said I was going to wait and see it :o
I was in Matalan for a jumper for my Dad's birthday. So it would have been rude not to take a wander round the Xmas stuff. I ended up buying my DD2 a big Christmas activity advent countdown pad thing. It's full of colouring in and puzzles for each day of Dec, I know she will love it.
Then in home bargains last nigh I started stocking up with the big Gingerbread jar candles. I usually buy one a week so I have enough for the last week of Nov and all of Dec. I'm burning the Halloween one at the moment.

I've got to say that Matalan has such a great range of clothing in at the moment. Sometimes I never see anything I like. But the kids clothes and pj's are all gorgeous. The ladies stuff is lovely and loads of nice men's shirts and jumpers. I had no problem getting one for my Dad, usually I struggle to find the style he likes.
I ended up buying myself a black chiffon style blouse with tiny candy canes all over it. They had a shorter box style top with Christmas trees too. I preferred that style of top, but I really loved the candy canes. It was £12 :T I think I'll be wearing it nearly every day, just swapping for my Christmas jumper on very cold days and to wash it lol.

Happy birthday to everyone I missed.

I've been very busy and not had time to read and post. Thanks for the heads up that HB have their ginger bread candles in. I was too late last year.

I've got a couple presents bought, a jumper for my friend from etsy I'm another etsy lover Glitternutt. 3 of this years gifts have been found on there so far and I keep looking for more.

Last years home made Marzipan chocolates went down well so not only do I need to make another massive jar for my dad, I have to make them for my OH, FIL and OHs uncle who all felt a bit hard done to that I didn't make them any. Best get started now.
  • Went into my local Sainsbury’s and they had nice stationary reduced started at 20p. I bought a few nice stationary designed sets for £1.00 to go in stockings. They had pens, pencils, notebooks, folders, pencil cases, notecards, weekly planners.

Jacobs trees let’s were reduced to £1.50 each so have put a few by for Christmas. Also family bags of crisps had end January and February dates on them.

My Tesco also had reduced stationary. Left overs from starting back school. I picked up some Sentos scented felt tips. I also got some coloured Inkjoy gel pens. Usually £12 down to £3 the blue, black and red pack were down to £1.75. They are so nice to write with. So I got some for myself and some for my sister and dd1.
They had loads more nice packs of things I didn't need, but great stocking fillers or gifts for kids you buy a small gift for.

Stokie,Wow!75p.Too late for me I'm afraid.I bought in bulk. I am still getting orders though for mine from the craft fair,so maybe.

Went to Nottingham yesterday with big plans.Bought nowt!So nothing crossed off my list. Went to primark to get candles for DD1 as they looked the part online but in RL they smelt of nowt.Couldn't find a bookshop in the city centre.Oh did manage to buy some hyacinth bulbs to plant up for Christmas and a nice new file and pockets and next year diary.

Went on to Grimsby at 4pm for a meeting. We are tentatively in talks about setting up a new businuess venture.(looked the part with my new file lol)

Oh I did have to go to hobbycraft for suplies for my craft stall makes and got a cute Christmas ornament for DD1.Her tree is boho with lots of felt ornaments from paper chase which were £5 plus each. They have some lovely ones in Hobbycraft for £2.Got her a cute fawn/bambi.

I have started getting Christmas foods along with my regular shop now and have cleared out a drawer in the freezer to begin with frozen stuff too.

    Love to all Vx
