I still think this imperfect Dell Inspiron 15 7537 is worth a look

    4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-4500U Processor (4M Cache, up to 3.0 GHz)
    1Yr Warranty
LCD Back Cover - Silver (Touch Screen)
    Aluminium chassis
    Windows 10 64bit, English
    8GB 2 DIMM (2x4GB) DDR3L 1600Mhz
    Internal UK/Irish Qwerty Backlit Keyboard
    Inspiron 15 - 7537
    Intel® Dual Band Wireless-N 7260 2x2 AGN + Bluetooth 4.0
39.6cm (15.6") LED Backlit Touch Display with Truelife and FHD resolution (1920 x 1080)
    NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 750M 2GB DDR5 dedicated graphics
    500GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive

Instead of a £200 laptop experience, you get a £700 laptop experience.

Thats a good find, powerful machine.
Would try to check the pictures on the mentioned (minor) fault
(Scratch to lid of machine and two very small light bleeds to screen) but thats a high spec for not a lot of money.

    Already sold.
I actually have a similar machine, though a year later, 17" touchscreen and fitted with an SSD.
    Very nice.

Was it really you who purchased it?

Actually mine was for my girlfriend, so I had to wait until the warranty was up before she would let me fit an SSD. She complained that it was already fast. :D
Of course once I fitted the SSD she agreed that it's even better and started pointing out how snappy everything is. :)
It's just a shame to hold a nice machine back with old hard drive technology. Though it's still ok as it is.
So perhaps down the road, fit an SSD. :)

  • The backup system on windows 7/8 was awful since that is what is in Windows 10 it will be just as bad. Use something like Macrium reflect to make images and I use comodo back for files. both free and does a far better job than Windows and more reliable.
  • I'm sure they have backed up several times in the last 13 months
