This global credit crunch is bad bad bad news. I've been watching this play out, and not really posting recently, news of the *real possibility* (as if you have to argue that hard to show theres a chance!) of a house price correction are now widespread.

The herd mentality that happens in all markets, and happened this year with the bulk buying of water (Tewkesbury) and the withdrawal of savings (Northern Rock) are just micro, compared to the stampede that would occur in the housing market. People power as they say, and no Chancellor's promises will stop people from trying to protect their precious nest egg, pension, equity!

UGLY ugly ugly it will be. I feel most sorry for those who have bought recently and not yet even started a family. Struggling times to come, what with the real possibility that we are actually hitting peak oil.

    PS. Google "Peak oil".

    phlash.

  • Hi everyone

Just a quick note to explain what happened to this thread.

It was accidentally deleted a little while ago, the board guides weren't sure how, and as board guides can't see threads that have been taken down they couldn't put it back.

I think now there's another discussion already started it might confuse things to have 2 on the go at once so I'm going to close this but you'll still be able to read it.

    Have a good day

    Andrea :)
