Excellent article. Amazingly, property in Bristol & Cardiff is more unaffordable than in New York.In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -

Here is the link again...This is BAD NEWS...& whats more it is on the FRONT...FRONT...FRONT... page of the The Times..Just think how many prospective FTB's will read that & decided not to make the plunge afterall !!..Headlines like that create a momentum of there own & there are going to be a lot more like them in the coming months !!! :eek:0 -
Front page of the Times! The program on BBC tonight will be even more interesting to watch to the good people of the UK. Mass panic tomorrow?
On another note, just looked at property snake and found there are over 500 price reductions in the county in which I live, with what look like at first glance, to be a high amount of days most of them have been on the market.
Of course I have no idea how many reductions there were 3 months ago, so the figure means nothing, did surprise me though.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

Just checked the county and city where I am from and property snake showed 0 reductions.:wall:

It's absolutely amazing at how quickly the media have swung around in their reporting. They've went from "All is rosy and prices set to rise forever" to "Doom" in about 2-3 weeks.
Too bad they weren't flagging the problems months back when it was clear which way things were heading. As it is, anyone who needs to sell (mortgage costing too much, debts to be paid) is probably too late.--
Every pound less borrowed (to buy a house) is more than two pounds less to repay and more than three pounds less to earn, over the course of a typical mortgage.0 -

I hope you realize that that doesn't mean there are no reductions, as propertysnake does not have the properties from Rightmove listed, due to some noise Rightmove made about propertysnake. We would see a much more accurate picture if propertysnake was allowed to include Rightmove links.0 -
