Good Morning all and a Happy New Year.
Hope you enjoyed your evening however you spent it. I celebrated at home with OH. We had a lovely dinner, played a couple of games and watched a bit of TV. Now lets see what 2018 has to throw at us!
I'm going to start off the New Year with a no spend day. I plan to visit family later, read my book and prepare myself for going back to work tomorrow...boo!!
So here's wishing you all a happy, healthy and frugal New Year0 -
I'll give this challenge a go.
I've never really heard of frugal before but have 3 big things to save for;
a house , a wedding and an emergency fund.
I need to have more self discipline & better control on my finances.
I've already;Potted some change in our wedding fund
Opened an account with Lloyds bank So I can set up a save the change account, as well as using their cashback service
I have to go food shopping today but If I keep to my list, it won't count as a spend dayDebt to fiancee - £404.00 (left to pay) | Save £12,000 in 2018 - £371.90 all together|2,018 items in 2018 (8/2,018)0 -
Happy New Year!
Please can I join in the challenge. I have been quietly following the forum over the past few years, and you have all inspired me to make various changes to my spending habits.
This year I need to get my act together, and to build up the savings account.
I am going to start by:
going over my spreadsheets one last time
checking the contents of my fridge and freezer
Happy New Year everyone0 -
