I'd have thought you'd be better house sharing or if it's 2 bedrooms could you rent the second one out? It's a lot to pay for one person.:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

Thank you all.
I really do need to sit down and work on my finances but in the long run it maybe unatainable.0 -
In the short run (til April) it probably is if you watch your spending. Really watch it. I lived on £6 a week for food in 1980.., and that was low even for then. It wasn't pleasant but I did it.
Spending half of your wages on rent has been going on for decades when private renting.0 -
OP, my daughter earns less than you, runs a car and pays rent of £650 a month. She has a mobile phone, Amazon Prime and has a decent social life. She even manages to put away some savings. It can be done, but it involves serious budgeting and getting used to not spending too much on luxuries.
I haven't read the entire thread so I may have missed this, but are you financing debt which eats into your available money?
Edit - is £800 a month the going rate for a 1 bed in your area? It's hard at advise without knowing details like this. What will you do if you are allowed to end the contract for this home?0 -

It is. You might want to move further out when you rent your next property.
I'm guessing you work in the big smoke if you're living in Woking?2.88 kWp System, SE Facing, 30 Degree Pitch, 12 x 240W Conergy Panels, Samil Solar River Inverter, Havant, Hampshire. Installed July 2012, acquired by me on purchase of house in August 20170 -
That rent is perfectly reasonable - some might even say cheap - for the location, so OP is unlikely to be able to move anywhere cheaper. It's the rest of the budget he/she needs to look at. It's a case for a money makeover rather than moving, unless of course OP can move back in with parents or get a job paying the same in a cheaper part of the country.0
