Sorry if this is in the wrong place - just want some help/advice before I get annoyed! Used to get on average 5/6 emails from "Asda Customer Service", but its american, and they're trying to get me to claim a $150 giftcard. So I just ignore, and leave in spam. Here's the next part, in 12 hours i've had 120 emails off them! There is an american address and a email link, but if you click the link, it declines to show you the page as you have to sign in. Is there anyway to get rid of this once and for all? Bar them, I bairly get spam >.< now on 800 in my inbox in approx a week!
I have tried unsubscribing, after I found a link to a "RewardsZone", this is the message:
Please allow 5-7 business days for your
e-mail address to be completely removed
from the system. If you do receive e-mail correspondence for this offer from RewardsZone.co.uk after the allotted time, please contact privacy@RewardsZone.co.uk with the original e-mail so that we might address the issue immediately.
We maintain a ZERO SPAM POLICY.
I have emailled them as well, and nothing. Is there another way to report them, or get rid of it all?

Suggest you forward the e-mail to ASDA uk, it smells slightly of a scam.

By looking at spam and opening it you can confirm to a spammer that your address is live and worth spamming.
Images and links in the spam mail can be used to track your activity.
Your details will then be sold on to other spammers.
My advice would be to do nothing.
Read some help pages about spam.
Turn off preview mode in your email program.
Just delete them.
Invest in some antispam s/w or service from your email provider/ISP.0 -
I am having the same problem though only have had 93 emails so far.
I registered to try and find out more (I used the same email address- they can only spam me once) and found an unsubscribe link but it keeps sending you round in a loop.
I have tried blocking the sender but every email comes from a different address.
I agree email ASDA but who do I email?
No point emailing customer services0 -
Unforunately, by 'unsubscribing' you've probably just done the opposite - in that you have confirmed to the senders that your email address is a valid live one.
I get loads of them too - I have Mailwasher and it blocks them at the server, but apart from reporting the spam to one of the 'black list' organisations, I don't think there is anything else you can do.
Au Res.,

Completely agree. They're already breaking the law just by sending the spam, I don't think they're going to be the type of people to actually remove your email from the list just because you click on an unsubscribe link. Check the origin of the email in it's header and report the IP address to whoever is responsible for it."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Hi guys, I'm Chris and I work in the marketing team in ASDA. I wanted to clear a few things up about the emails people have been recieving.
We’ve been made aware that some people have been receiving emails which contain the ASDA logo and feature competitions to win ASDA gift cards, but are sent from non-ASDA email addresses.
These emails are not being sent by, or on behalf of ASDA - they are the result of an unrelated third party sending emails to addresses that they have acquired.
We only send emails to those customers who have opted in to communications, and all of our emails come from addresses which end in @uk.asda.com.
We are taking action through our legal team, but would advise people not to respond to any of the emails of this type they may have received.
Many thanks,

BIG MISTAKE
First rule, never reply to any spam email not even to so called sign out from the service.
If using OE you can make a rule to delete them at the server, but make sure it's not any you would want to receive as you will never see them.

I'm usually good with spam and ignore it (I love gmail), but this american fake asda one's just thoroughly annoyed me. 95 in 12 hours, lol. Went into asda today and spoke to thier CS there, and they are aware of it.~*Cerenia*~

happy to hear asda are taking action, doesnt bother me too much as it goes straight to my spam but just silly, sending hundreds in a few hours is more likely to put people off than make then go for itYes Your Dukeiness0 -
Hmm, that is odd, makes me wonder where this page is getting details from~*Cerenia*~
