Last year I ripped out the bath and fitted a bath-sized shower cubical - it's awesome. I could have arranged the bathroom in such a way as to allow me to have both a bath and good sized shower, but I just couldn't bring myself to waste money and compromise the room for something I wouldn't use. If I ever come to sell, I can offer a small reduction in price if a buyer makes a fuss about it.

A few years ago I would have said a bath would be an essential as I loved a good soak and would never think of a house without one but now I cannot access a bath, a decent and large shower would be a must (not that I have one of those, I still struggle on with an over bath shower and lots of rails and just as many falls). Unfortunately I have a small bath so even if removed, the shower would be pretty small too.

My parents have just had their bath removed for a large shower as dad kept falling trying to get into and out of their bath for a shower (over bath shower). As their bath was absolutely massive, their shower is equally massive.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
