It makes Martin's recommendations an absolute joke!! Outfoxthemarket shouldn't even be added to MSE's energy comparison or come with a warning that the prices will increase on a whim continually.

This company is a complete farce and they clearly are run by clowns that blatantly underestimates costs and messed up all their projections.

I agree. The energy club is pretty useless really. Now I am stuck at the mercy of these con merchants.

They have gone up again. From 13 December 2018 your electricity unit rate will change from 0.1146p/kWh to 0.1242p/kWh Your gas unit rate will change from 0.0373p/kWh to 0.0401p/kWh
Please note, monthly membership prices will remain the same.

At the moment they are still cheapest but not by much now. When they no longer offer the cheapest rate I will switch.
Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
call your credit card company, tell them that you want to leave, 99% of the time theyll lower your APR%
Remember when that Bank Manager or Salesperson smiles at you, all he sees is £ notes. Dont forget the motto, "the wider their grin, the more debt your in"

Hm, email I had didn't even have the correct unit rates I was paying. Plus they seem to just totally ignore any meter readings I give them so everything I've had to far is estimated (fortunately it wasn't too far out but that's not the point).

OFTM isn't cheapest now for me, Zog is coming back up as second cheapest for gas or if I pay slightly more I can fix it for two years on their Saturn tariff no exit fees. They're a good supplier so I'm going to see what a hack of OFTM make of my next statement due tomorrow and make a decision then.

They generate statements on a set day each month so if you give your readings on any other day they will use that to estimate what your reading is on the day they generate the statement.

Caveat Emptor. I concluded a long time ago that there is no business science behind MSE CEC’s Top Picks. Choosing an energy supplier is very much a personal decision. Like many, I followed the money and went for Iresa. It went wrong from the start and it took me 5 months to get an accurate bill. I only have myself to blame.

  • I switched to OFTM and started on October the 1st. They have been rubbish. My exit bill reading from Together energy is not being used as my start reading for OFTM. I have the bill and sent it to OFTM and they still got it wrong and now i am paying electric i have already paid Together energy for!!!!!
I took a picutre with my mobile on the 7/9/18 of my electric meter reading which is way higher than what OFTM has as my start reading so hoping this knocks some sense into them.

Ive seen enough of these clowns and will be moving as soon as they sort my start meter readings out. Sat beside the phone waiting for the call centre to open.

Stay away and go with someone else.

Wish i had stopped with together energy now

Have a read of this blog:

    https://octopus.energy/blog/secret-life-opening-meter-reading/

The gaining supplier manages the transfer of supply and it gets the transfer readings verified. These are then passed back to both suppliers via industry data flows to open and close your accounts, Suppliers are required to use the same readings. If there is an issue then contact your new supplier and ask them to speak to your old supplier.

  • Anyone else find it difficult to do a comparisson on Cheap Eneergy Club with Outfox?

MSE have hundreds of tarrifs listed in the drop down and it's difficult to tie it up with what I'm currently on with outfox as the statements simply say 'Zapp! tariff'.

Based on the membership fee you can determine if you are a Low, medium, high, super high user. You also know when you started with OFTM. This information should enable you to find the correct Zapp! tariff.
