  • £1500 for February, which is better than I was expecting after a large CC bill this month and losing £2000 on my Stocks & Shares ISA.

Thankfully most the loss has now made up, and while shares were low, I bought another £13,000.

I always like February from a financial point of view; a short month and no council tax and water bills! Not so likeable weather-wise; keep safe and warm everyone, especially if you are in the badly affected areas this week. <cold face with snow goggles!

  • Number 12 reporting in with £750 in February to add to my £750 in January. Form updated. £1,500/£12,000.

Lots of expected and unexpected fun costs this quarter. Plus I must stop buying expensive rounds of drinks! This thread means I’ve noticed and taken my head out of the sand. Thanks Slowly Fading and everyone who posts on here!
  • #20 Declaring £2700 for February.

Mostly due to the bonus I received at the end of January, but still not bad going. No real unexpected costs except that petrol has cost more than anticipated for such a short month. I have been driving out the horse more often and that looks like it is the likely cause.

Should get another wee income boost this month - so hoping for at least £2000 again.
Then April is full of hen dos and wedding stuff (not mine) so will be more expensive, but we'll deal with that when we get to it

  • 2 months of the challenge completed - it's been a chilly February!

This month we've had a few bills from re-decorating the lounge, plus some bills from Christmas too. On top of that OH's car needed engine oil and a new battery. Leaving savings for #002 of £2436.37 for February.

Happy saving everyone (and keep warm!)

hi no. 15 here reporting £134.15 for February, bringing my yearly total so far to £196.55. Alas the year has got off to a pretty slow start and I don't think next month will be any better - the boiler has had to be replaced, among other expenses - but it should kick into gear at some point after that. I hope!! :rotfl::)

A disappointing £341.89 for me this month. Well, the number is disappointing but it's actually not bad given what this month has thrown at me: £550 abortive legal fees, £500 service and MOT (on top of the actual fee I paid for these things in December) and a holiday booked and budgeted for. None paid with debt (except budgeted money on credit cards for the cashback). So if this had been a "normal" month it would have been a great one! Alas, we look to next month to get back on the savings train.

Keep going all and stay safe - this weather is insane!
