I have had this happening to me yesterday:
Complaint after chat with P2G:
Tim has been very helpful and he resolved my problem. However, I have totally lost confidence in collection services and I won't be booking a collection ever again. I have lost a day of my life waiting indoors for a collection that never happened. There was no communication regarding this, despite the courier company having my telephone number and email address. I think it's absolutely disgraceful and appaling. I will be looking into complaining about this to the Ombudsman, as I think it is absolutely intolerable that I should pay for a service that has not been delivered, wasted a day of my life waiting and then not even being offered some type of compensation. Incredible, really.
I have had to change my collection to drop off, as there's no way I am going to trust and wait for another so called collection. Incredibly, after my chat conversation with Tim(seeing that I could not find a telephone number for this company, despite they saying on their site that they are available 24hrs to talk about any problems, which is not a very good indicator. Who hides behind a site and doesn't offer a phone service? Somebody who doesn't want to be accountable for something.), this guy turns up at my door, wanting to collect the parcel!!! After it was changed to drop off. Excellent service.0 -

Which ombudsman?
Its not incredible. You used a re-seller to save money.
costs are cut somewhere. You expect a call centre?
You assume the courier has you email/phone number but who knows what data is sent from the re-seller.
Ad hoc collections are always questionable due to the nature of the courier model and multi drop drivers under pressure.1 -
You can speak to them 24 hours a day - by live chat.
It’s no less ‘accountable’ than using a phone, you’re still talking to a person.1 -
Would take forever to tell my story about my damaged goods that were adequately packed but I agree with awfront about parcel 2 go I hope watchdog get hold of this company .0

Did you sell the microphone on a site such as ebay? I don't know about parcel2go but if you send something by Royal Mail and don't have a receipt for when the item was actually bought, they accept an ebay invoice/sales details of you selling the item as proof of how much it's worth.1

I've also had a claim refused after it arrived broken. They are saying that it was on the prohibited list as "car parts". It was for a car roof rack, which I see more as "car accessories". I can see that this is open to interpretation, so is little point in challenging it.The frustrating thing is that I used their option to link to the ebay sale. The listing on ebay clearly stated what it was and therefore it is a pity that there is nothing within their systems which flags up this is something on their prohibited list.Clearly they are happy to take your money and then rely on their small print when things go wrong. I even paid extra for it to be fully insured, which it seems means nothing if it something that they deem to be prohibited.I assumed that they were like a comparison website, whereby you are using them to find the cheapest deal and then booking directly with the courier. It seems that you are purchasing a service directly with P2G. It seems that they are 'Cheap for a reason'.Lesson learnt. Won't be using them again.0

I sent a microphone with parcel2go in November , first they told me it was in customs in Australia then they told me it was in uk customs then they said it was back in Australia then they said it was in a warehouse in the uk, they have no idea where it is and the won't respond to my claim even though it cost me £120 to take out full insurance . I have spent days trying to get an answer from them on their live chat but no one in the company knows whats going on , NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY0

Shocking service. I booked a collection and drop off. I waited in all day and the courier failed to turn up. I contacted Parcel2Go who told me I would need to rebook another collection. I waited in all day and the courier failed to turn up again. I contacted Parcel2Go who told me I needed to rebook again. I asked what happens if the courier does not turn up again, I was told I would need to rebook, I asked how many times do I have to rebook before they realise they are unable to provide the service I paid for, they told me they do not guarantee collection or delivery. What am I paying for!!!Shocking service, terrible customer service. Steer well clear of parcel2go.0
