Whats your question? The parcel contained a gramaphone motor and it weighed 20kg. :)
I couriered a complete gramophone recently which had a packed weight of under 13kg. It must have been a very big motor.
  • I used them to send mobile and on tracking it shows parcel in their warehouse and somehow they lost the parcel

So I took them to Small claim department and in the end after paying to court hearing spending £25+£25 they paid me back my mobile money which was £220 +£50 court charges. It took one year literally for them to accept their fault
ccj@Parcel2Go.com this email address contact me for case closure and payment settlement
Wish you all the best guys

The fact that they have a specific CCJ email address says something in itself. :)
  • I am currently having issues with Parcel2Go, sent an parcel which cost me £9.79 to send.

The delivery company lost the item, and after a lot of hassle with Parcel2Go they finally agreed to pay me £20 compensation but they only gave me £2.78 carriage refund.

I questioned why I was only refunded £2.78 carriage refund and was told they came to the figure as follows:

£9.79 - £7.01 = £2.78, when I questioned this they stopped replying. Now every time I talk to them they are just cutting me off and not replying.
  • manic rambling

I send a lot with them, and I've had issues - but all resolved (considering the lower end of the market they aim for).
Just to clarify, they don't share any directors etc with Parcelcompare / Parcelhero from what I can see.

I'd suggest you're the chap who's deluded, if you think they never have any successful deliveries - I send about 30-50 parcels per day with them, and no major issues to report.

I'm willing to bet from your attitude that you went steaming through the website, didn't look at what you were ticking - and are looking for someone else to blame :)
  • hi,

I'm having an issue with Parcel2Go - I have sent the parcel mid December with promised delivery date + I took the insurance for the value of 200 GBP. The Parcel appeared to by lost by DPD which Parcel2gGo already admitted. As it was a private parcel the only proof of value are my Credit Card statements with shown the shop and the value of purchase ( This can be a purchase receipt, bank statement - as per My Claims - required documents ). My sister ( recipient of the parcel ) have sent me an email which states she has never received the parcel - but this also seems not enough ( an email from the receiver confirming this has not been received- as per My Claims - required documents )

Currently they have rejected the clime - I will issue the same documents which I have sent before ( because i don't have anything else )

Shall I take them to Small Claim Court straight away ? as it seems I'm getting nowhere.

    thanks

    Magdalena

Sorry to hear you're being given such a hard time.
I've used resolver.co.uk in the past and can recommend them. It's free.
  • Yodeldirect is run by the same clowns as Parcel2Go so if you want to avoid the same kind of poor service I'd avoid them both.

I've had to make a claim from both of them. Had they sorted out my claim in a timely manner and not kept ignoring me I'd still be using them.
  • I just wanted to give an update on my DPD saga which I posted about in January, with the intention of helping anyone with similar problems.
I booked the service through DPD website but my contract got changed to Parcel2go when I got to the payment. Sent on 31st October 2018 it didn't reach its destination. I raised an investigation. About 4 weeks later they confirmed it was actually lost and I could make a claim. At first I was being fobbed off by DPD saying my contract was with Parcel2Go, even though the complaints email is claims@dpdlocal-online.co.uk (?!) Anyway, after a while I started copying everything to the Director of Customer Experience at DPD, as well as the claims email. They agreed they'd lost the parcel and asked me to prove its £100 value, which I had valued when I contracted with them. It was a gramophone motor and they wouldn't accept the first valuation, from a gramophone expert and asked for screenshot from ebay or amazon. I provided a screenshot of something similar. DPD rejected that saying it wasn't acceptable I had to prove it had sold at the bidding price. I duly sent them one that had sold, They rejected that saying I needed to show the paypal transaction - in other words I needed to buy another one before they would consider refunding me. I wasn't prepared to do this. I didn't think it was reasonable. In the end I sent them an email saying that and to appeal to the human in the process provided them a set of pictures 1. before - gramophone cabinet with motor, 2. the motor that had been lost, 3. the empty cabinet, that I now have without the motor and 4. a photo of my late father, who had left me the gramophone. I sent the email the claims email and the Director of Customer Experience. I tried not to be rude, as it isn't any individuals fault. They responded with an email saying that they accepted my claim and would refund me the £100 and the delivery cost. Great. I duly received the £100 but no delivery refund (£10.49). When I queried it I was told that the £100 refund was an act of goodwill on my part, if I wanted to them to refund the delivery charge I would have to provide the additional documentation they had asked for. Madness, accepting they had lost the parcel they still wanted me to jump though hoops to get the £10.49 delivery charge. So I changed tactic. I had paid for the service through Paypal, so I contacted them through the Paypal claim process, asking for my £10.49. It's still emailing DPD but the query is logged through paypal and their escalation procedure is available if needed. Two weeks later, I am glad to say I have had the £10.49 refunded as well. So persevere! Good luck. In my next life I'm going to be a terrier

I generally do my own deciding, but thank you for highlighting the many ineptitudes of this company with all those exclamation marks.
