    Morning all

Good luck for those with job apps/interviews lined up.

I am hoping to find the living room, hall and stairs today! Also need to scale some of iron mountain and more importantly put stuff away as it get's ironed.

Better skidaddle or we will be late for school.

    Hugs to you all xx

  • morning everyone,

i'm off work again, this time with DS with a temperature of 103, and screaming his head off when i tried to ring in work. Seems bright as a button again now the calpol has kicked in, although he has a strange spotty rash on his face so i am not guaranteeing i am going to have an easy day.

I was up a lot of last night anyway as i had a dodgy tummy. It felt like really bad trapped wind, and i had to get up in the middle of the night for a bit to have a peppermint and walk it off a bit, but the cats were doing my tree in and it was cold so i went back to bed and just disturbed DH instead.

plan for the day - god only knows. Sounds like Charlie will test my patience - currently knocking on the patio window to the cats outside shouting 'hiya' which he has said non-stop since Sunday. Cats appear to be on a mouse hunt. i think i had best do some clothes sorting and house degrotting ready for saturdays party if i have a bonus day off.

best of luck to everyone today, i will be thinking of those of you job hunting in particular. I remember it well, and if things don't change where i am then i am likely to join you myself.

anyway, tears are starting again so i had best deal with that.

    Michelle, x

  • No time to read posts this morning I'm afraid, (going on an IKEA trip!! Woo!), but want to thank you all for this Flylady banter.

My kitchen has never been so clean and tidy! I want visitors!

    Here's my list for yesterday.

Terrible Tuesday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    [strike]Clean floors[/strike]
    Level Two
    [strike]Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces[/strike]
[strike]Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front, clean out any spills or grots in there![/strike]

    Level Three
[strike]Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round[/strike]
[strike]Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc [/strike]
Clean oven if you didn't do it last week I polished the front and top, does that count?
[strike]Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards..[/strike]
Check those washing machine filters and drawers for ickiness!! Tumble dryer and dishwasher filters need to be done too!!
    Extra Mission
    Choose one or more of:
    • [strike]Wipe window sills[/strike] and clean windows in these rooms
    • [strike]Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps.. a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk![/strike]
    • Write an inventory of your cupboards contents and what needs using first
    • Empty the cutlery drawer.. clean it out, wash the cutlery tray, chuck those baby spoons you don't use any more.. how many medicine spoons do you actually need? get rid of everything you don't use and make the drawer look nice again!
    Deep Clean Challenge
Get in that junk/spare stuff/'quick.. hide it in there' cupboard. Give it all GOOD scrub out before placing the things you need to keep.. I bet 90% of that can go in the bin!!. If no junk cupboard do a foody one! Feel free to get carried away and do more cupboards!!!

    Sorry, too scary!

However - made soup, put washing on overnight, got OH to take recycling to dump, and went to gym! Yay me.

Today: spare room WAY too scary. Might hoover though. Have to leave the declutter until all the building supplies are out of there, it's impossible at the moment.

Will declutter my wardrobe and organise charity shop stuff.

Thanks all, and have a lovely day.

Morning all. Not sure what I'll manage today as I have to take some shoes back to a factory shop nearly 30 miles away. They seemed like a bargain at the time but when I got them home they didn't fit. Does this happen to anyone else? So not such a bargain as I have to spend time and money taking them back.

I will make sure I have a nice coffee while I am out so will cross one thing off my list now!

Wacky Wednesday - those frightening kids rooms and spare rooms

Vacuum the floor, even if it's just where you can see

  • I'm going to sulk, I keep doing things that aren't on the list !! And my list just gets longer and longer, I've cleaned the shelf under the stairs, cleaned the front door, cleaned the lounge door frame (hall side was covered in bits of plaster), and I still can't cross anything off my list.
