    Morning all!

Hugs Michelle - hope Charlie feels better after his brekkie, especially so close to his birthday, bless him.

My little 1 yr old decided to wake at 4.30 AGAIN!! we thought we would leave him to cry a bit rather than rushing in - he went hysterical!, took an hour to calm him down enough to gve him the bottle and then he fell back asleep as he had tired himself out and we had to wake him at 7!! So I am knacked again - it's driving us crazy!!

    Sorry to rant.

WM on, kitchen ok, girls room - went in, emptied bin - picked up clothes, made beds, shut the door!! Can't face a deep clean in there this week when it will just get trashed at half term next week!

    Might do kitchen floor later

Got green buns to make when dd's get home for school bun day!

    Have a good day xx

toria.. I being such a terrible mother.. used to leave a bottle in their cot so when they woke at an ungodly hour they could grab it themselves and usually they did, drank it and went back to sleep!! Occasionally they'd forget it was there and I'd have to go rescue it and give it to them.. and being so awful.. their bottles had rusks or baby rice in and then when they were a bit bigger it had hot chocolate in.. it meant their tummies weren't so empty and they'd go back off to sleep usually!!

Right.. *kicks self off the chair to go to loo, make a cuppa, load the WM's after taking down nets (though I am thinking of just buying new ones!!) and load the buggy with the bag of ebay gibble to post.*

Oh and to REALLY annoy me our post office have cancelled ALL redeliveries and all parcels have to be collected from the sorting office.. 3 miles away.. and I don't have a car so can't get there..and I have a feeling it is a DS lite for one of the small pinks for christmas!!... gggrrrrr.... how crappy is that?? I am going to ring the head office and chuck a mega strop.. they go on strike and expect us to run about after us.. no chance... they CHOSE to go on strike so they can bloody well deal with the backlog of parcels.. lazy gits!!!

And I've just spent 20 minutes writing an email to a former school chum!

    Kettle........ Anyone want one??

  • Morning everyone,

My first post of the week as have been a bit bogged down & also feeling quite lazy!

But I thought I'd let you all know that I've just got back from my 7 week scan and everything is ok!!!!! :j I'm so relieved! (and there was only 1 in there which is a relief too!)

Hopefully the next 5 weeks till the 12 week scan won't drag so much now.

I'm also going to be a Aunty next Thursday as my sister in law is booked in for a cesaerean - they live abroad so I won't see the baby for a few months but it still really really exciting!!!!

I'm now off to work but will try and get through a couple of things on the list when I get in this evening.

    Bye for now

Ooo I will :D Just sat down for 5 mins to have a coffee before getting on with more jobs. Just finished sorting out the last of the dishes that need washing , all the shopping from this morning is now away properly and I've spoken to my mum for 35mins on the phone :rotfl: Nearly forgot I've also put a washload out on the line, (the quiltcover out there is nearly dry :j ) and I have another load which is more or less finish (its up to the spin cycle).

I think I'll go and sort out the stuff upstairs next so I can open the windows up there for an hour or so (the windows are running with condensation :mad: ) but I'm not going to clean (except to S&S the bathroom) and I'll do it tomorrow instead when I'll strip our bed again. Must remember DD is away on Monday for a full week so I might leave changing her bed on Sunday, let her have a bath Monday daytime (before we go shopping for comics ;) ) and then strip it and leave it to air until Wednesday, when I will remake it ready for when she comes back on Sunday (we're going away early hours of Thursday and don't know what time we'll be back Sunday).

Oooo there's a film on in a minute on More4 which I might watch instead while I do the ironing, and then in the breaks I can do the jobs upstairs :D Now THERE's an idea :rotfl: Right, best get the hanging thing from under the stairs to put the ironing on

Anyway............ shan't get a lot done off the list as I still need to find the lounge and hall floors plus deal with a buyer on ebay who has not read the description properly grrrrrrrrr What does 2" x 100 yds of ribbon mean to you??? Answer will be posted later once i have your opinion!

Right :coffee: anyone? and then a 30 min challenge?

  • clarkey that is great news about your scan.

    pigpen enjoy the harvest festival.

    thanks emmb for good wishes.

victorianut the disturbed sleep is a nightmare isn't it. Charlie is usually 6am to half past which isn't that bad. I have to say i'm inclined to agree with tracey that the sleeping is better if he is absolutely stuffed to the gills. He gets tea at nursery around 4ish, and he chats up the staff to get extra food. I then pick him up at 4:30ish so when we get home i usually give him some fruit or a yoghurt or some crisps, then bath him, then he has a full to the top bottle of cows milk at 6:30-6:45, and by 7 he is usually in bed and there all night. I would like him to be later than 6, but i need to work in the evening so keeping him up later isn't normally an option for us. I've not fed him through the night since he was 11 weks old, and by the time he was 4 months he was asleep 7-7.:T

anyway, i sorted through some paperwork lying around, and just found a pile of my birthday cards on the bookcase. As my birthday was in April i think they can go. I don't know how these bits get missed when i do try to fly, but obviously i don't look good enough.

the last cup of tea i had made me very ill, so i will not be having anymore. The boy seems a lot better now though and is charging around happily. I'll be having an early lunch with him at 12ish, and then hoping he goes to sleep for a couple of hours, when i may get some of the dusting/sorting done down here. Which reminds me, i'd best pop upstairs and shut all the windows again. The condensation was really bad this morning and there is a lot of mould on the wall near the landing window. It will be a bit chilly up there now.

back to it then. May also have a short power nap when charlie goes down as i am feeling the effects of being awake half the night.

    Morning all

Lovely day here after yesterday's monsoon. I've stripped my bed and that's washed and hanging out in the sun, together with a load of clothes.

Remade bed. Dusted and vacuumed all bedrooms and landing and vacuumed floors in bathroom and toilet.

Vacuumed stairs. Dusted and vacuumed living room. Vacuumed hallway and kitchen. Got rid of spiders webs around kitchen ceiling (but left the spiders so I know they'll be back :D).

Then I emptied out three kitchen drawers (cutlery, cooking utensils and placemats/sandwich bags drawers), vacuumed them out and washed them. Didn't have much to throw away but it's all clean and tidy so should be easier to find stuff.

Sat outside for half an hour in the sun finishing my book. It's about Dracula and I felt like I preferred to finish it in daylight ;) Was good but it's been giving me disturbed nights for the last week or so! (The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova).

So I've done much better than yesterday - probably because I didn't have any television programmes to catch up on. I work in the evenings so I tape Corrie etc.
