[STRIKE]Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister
Clean any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. wash any that need washing in preparation for cold weather!! See if there are any that don't fit, past their best or just plain uncomfy which could leave the house!
Put up linings or winter curtains to keep out those draughts.
    [/STRIKE]

    Extra Mission:
Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    • Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.
    • [STRIKE]
    • Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
    • Clean a window or two.
    • Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!!
    • [/STRIKE]
    • 30 minutes ironing
    Deep Clean Challenge
Empty, clear and clean the inside of a cupboard. Sort the magazine/newspaper heap. the one big pile of 'hotspot' we merged last week.. give it a more thorough sort through.. you do not need bills going back the last 24 years or invalid insurance policies!!

Terrible Tuesday - Kitchen and Dining Room

Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
Clean oven if you didn't do it last week
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards..
Check those washing machine filters and drawers for ickiness!! Tumble dryer and dishwasher filters need to be done too!!
    [/STRIKE]

    Extra Mission
    Choose one or more of:
    • [STRIKE]
    • Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
    • Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps.. a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
    • [/STRIKE]
    • Write an inventory of your cupboards contents and what needs using first
    • Empty the cutlery drawer.. clean it out, wash the cutlery tray, chuck those baby spoons you don't use any more.. how many medicine spoons do you actually need? get rid of everything you don't use and make the drawer look nice again!
    Deep Clean Challenge
Get in that junk/spare stuff/'quick.. hide it in there' cupboard. Give it all GOOD scrub out before placing the things you need to keep.. I bet 90% of that can go in the bin!!. If no junk cupboard do a foody one! Feel free to get carried away and do more cupboards

    - but, hey, babysteps - there is a kitchen day next week!!!!!:D :D

    My sentiments exactly, Lilo.
Rach, baked apple never occurs to me but I used to really like it. Glad you've got AF to stay finally; the power of worrying....!

20 mins in the kitchen, floors and visible surfaces wiped and that's all it needed. Plus Monday's dishes of course. It's nice not to be tearing around for an hour when I get home from work but I'm wondering how long a deep clean will last until? Won't be Flying tomorrow as I have Blokey over for tea. Yum yum. But I'll play catch up on Thursday.

I need to get another early night if I'm to be up reasonably early tomorrow. I need a hairwash urgently, I hate drying my hair with a passion and styled by car heater isn't a good look for me. We had some quite dishy workmen at work today and normaly we all go for a (not so ) subtle gawp, I looked like a fright so I didn't dare..

    Have a good Wednesday. TTFN

Well I haven't done any flying today apart from descaling the kettle, but I'm not feeling too bad, as I had a go at the kitchen on Sunday as I was catching up again, and apart from cleaning the floor and the surfaces, it is pretty clean, as I did the fridge etc on Sunday. So, luckily for me, I'll be able to catch up tomorrow, as I don't have a spare room or kids room to do (thanks pigpen - I don't feel so guilty when I have a day to catch up - think I've caught the can't be bothered to fly Tuesdayitis bug). Did have an hour catch up with my elderly neighbour and we both put the world to rights which was nice. Am awaiting an email from a friend who is already in a teaching job, with her letter of application to give me some ideas for where I may be going wrong. Hope she's remembered, as she had parent's evening tonight and she said she wouldn't be home til 9.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Baked apple sounds scrummy (I'm guessing it's quite healthy too) at the risk of sounding dim how exactly is it made. I understand the 'apple' and the 'baking' part! But how long? wrapped in tinfoil? anything sprinkled on top?

Well, kitchen is nice and clean (apart from the floor which was clean for about 1 hour, then it was time for muddy walkies!).
Whites are just finishing in the WM, then the darks will go in. Will hang them up around the house tonight, then iron tomorrow ready for work.

As for tomorrows list, well I don't have kids, or spare rooms, so I think I will catch up on todays deep clean challenge ~
