Afternoon all. Tuesday is my manic day so I can see why I never got the living room done on the old list - shame the kitchen could now be taking it's place.

    Been for my power walk/run.
    Been to the hygenist
Post was good today £30 excess from old insurance claim in the post (paid for the hygenist at least); free bike meter thing for DS3 and what looks like a premium bond win for OH - might open that in a minute; and a letter for DS1 which I think will be the date for him to go to district cricket trials.

Right lunch finished. Need to send a couple more emails then up the school to help in DS3 class for the afternoon followed by swimming lessons.

    Be back at tea time.

Thanks lil-me, pigpen, A&Wsmum for the ebay answers - I'll deal with her this evening, still have my stuff to pack but did pick up a box from the corner shop to post a large item in.

  • Hi everyone

I'm new on this thread, I've been trying to get organised and stumbled on the Flylady website.

I think it has great principles, but I just couldn't get that much enthusiasm for the sink thing.

Does anyone do this? I find it a real stumbling block-
That and the fact my toddler throws a wobbly whenever I hoover!

    Cheers

Welcome lunasaver :) The sink thing is symbolic I think. If you go to bed with an empty shiny sink and draining board it feels so much better when you come down in the morning. Helps start the day right. You don't have to slave over it every day, just make sure it is clear and wiped over.

Did kitchen yesterday because I knew I wouldn't do it today! I've S&Sd the kitchen, done a load of washing (hung upstairs because it's chucking it down outside), put away an Asda delivery - and watched two lots of Corrie and Doc Martin :D

    Lunch cooking now.

I need a kick up the bum to go do my kitchen, it's horrendous! I haven't washed a dish since Sunday night (and they are still on the rack). I have Mount Dirty Washing to climb and DS1 was up sicking in the toilet last night with a sore head and throat. They are watching Simpson's movie and moaning for pop corn!

OK, after I post this, I'm going to put a washing on and start the kitchen. First step, dishes.

Good news, my dad might be getting home today, though I will have to go collect him and try to get him home, into the upstairs flat, past a huge husky who is missing him like crazy and a boingy little lurcher who is clingy like a clingy thing.

Afternoon!!! Just sat having a cuppa and bit of chocolate while boiler man is here and DS is in bed. List looking good but its only cos I knew the boiler man was coming out and was ashamed of the state of it:o

Been to Asda for my gran and dropped off her shopping and spent an hour with her. Saw a lady from playgroup today and she chased me through the aisle to chat to me so hopefully it means I'm making a friend. Was going to stop going but will try one more week and see how we get along, would be lovely to have a friend to chat to:o (apart from you lovely lot) I didn't realise it would be this lonely giving up work and staying at home, I love being with my boy but miss adults.
