Dusty when you go onto my ebay there will be an option of making a second chance offer in the drop down next to where it says they won.
What I would do - email back stating they won the auction, if they wish to not continue with the purchase request that they pay the fees it has cost you (and any paypal charges) and you will relist the item. If not let them pay, send it recorded and then blurt in their face when they say they didn't get it. Claim back through royal mail if they say it is lost in post.
You can put a dispute stating person decided no longer wanted item, you will get fees back and they won't get a strike, or you can be evilmake them get a strike or pay up.

I USED to sell a lot, can you tell :rotfl: Just packed up the 5 items I have sold so that lot is done. Think I will wait until we move to list anything else as I don't know if internet connection will be straight on etc.
Packed up 6 boxes of stuff tonight so that's me done for this evening. One day I might be more organised...........

Ebay ? Someone who has one a bid on one of my things now says that they don't want it as they bid on lots of similar items and won them all. They have over 500 stars so not a novice. It is only for £8.50 and had lots of watchers. They say they will buy if they must but I bet they will say it did not arrive etc - what do you experts think?

Vanilla you dd looks so tiny not sure what her weight was in old money(can't work out g and kg) but my dd1 was 3lb 2oz at birth(7 wks early) then went down to 2lb 9oz
even though dd was bigger it still brings back memories seeing pics of your dd on here.
(a sniff over 2lb is 950g)

Dusty was just about to reply when I saw lil_me's reply! Someone with over 500 feedback know's the score and should not be trying it on with you. They know there is a contract to buy, but as lil_me says there are other options open to you. I have had people buy and then change their mind and provided they pay my fees then I do a mutual agreement not to proceed (once I have the money
) If you would have been happy with the runner's up bid then do a 2nd chance offer to them (from memory I think you can put a reason for the offer ie 1st buyer let you down). It all depends on your buyer's attitude as to how you take it from here.
I currently have some numpty who bought last Tuesday from me knowing they would prob not get the item by Saturday (wanted it for a wedding) and is now wanting me to refund despite me pointing out that it was highly unlikely to get there and suggesting recorded or special delivery as alternatives. 'Oh well too late for the wedding - refund please.' copied from his latest email, I shall be very politely telling him to go and co coOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
Old microwave now freecycled will be collected Sunday so saves taking that to tip. DP a little miffed as I decided I didn't want the white kettle I bought, wanted a silver one to match everything else, so go it, was under £10 not exactly a flashy one etc but he still had a moan. Told him he can have the white one in his garage aswell as some coffee etc then he can make his own cuppas all day, he declined. He has been a bit more helpful today but very shouty aswell as he was tired.
