Those goals sound really good Pauline
.
It's hard I know, but things don't change unless you do. Your actions can bring about positive change in your life, but to achieve this you need to think positive thoughts.
Don't allow negative thoughts to dwell in your head and eat away at you. Write down your good points and all that is good about your situation, if that helps. You are a caring, intelligent, sensitive, well read person. I know this without even having met you.
You are fully capable of earning a living, getting a job and being happy with yourself.
If your partner wants to get back together, then great. If he doesn't want to, then you don't need him.
It's good that you have written goals. Actions always make people feel better, so act on your goals every day, no matter how bad you feel. This will lead you to feel stronger emotionally and more confident in your ability to manage life.

Hi Pauline
So good to see you post / hear from you.
Totally agree about late night tablet use. I also found myself having difficulty sleeping when reading from my kindle at night and I switched back to "proper" books for bedtime reading... result, falling asleep readingThankfully my bedside light is on a timer and switches off at midnight
Agree, as well, with positive thinking and a positive attitude. Change starts with and inside you. To paraphrase Ghandi, "Be the change...!"
The great thing to see is that you realise this yourself and are already setting goals and making changes.

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

I managed my two walks. One of which was at 9pm where the pavements were truly sparkly, very beautiful in the moonlight.
Whilst out I put my halogen oven on clean and I came home to the most horrible smell and it appears to have died. I'll have a look at changing the bulb in the morning but they can be fiddly. It was only replaced a month ago so I will contact Andrew James to see what they say.
So now comes the hard bit - leaving the tablet downstairs! It is not going to defeat me on my first attempt.

Hi Pauline, I've just caught up with your diary. I hope that you won your battle to leave the tablet downstairs... and if not, well, there's always tomorrow night.“Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.”
