  • I didn't manage to get out yesterday so I am off for a walk in a little while.

My ex-partner popped in for ten minutes just now. Totally surprised and still getting mixed messages. Trying not to make any assumptions or decisions whilst so confused.

I will put some grapes and pineapple on the shopping list. I am really concerned about my weight and also my lack of fitness. I have a couple of wardrobes full of beautiful clothes which is such a waste. At the moment I am living in leggings and sweatshirts which hardly increases my self-esteem.

    Move more, that's the key.

I haven't managed to find many surveys over the last few days. Also been eating up food in the freezer, fridge and cupboards so I haven't spent much at all.

  • Good to hear from you, Pauline.
I'm eating out of the freezer as well and I'm finding it not so good for the weight loss but we'll get there. Moving more is definitely the key. Unfortunately the snow and ice isn't making it easy just now.
    Take care. xxx

The mixed messages aren't good, I don't cope too well if I don't know what's going on. I hope you can sort it all out soon.

Definitely get yourself out of the house, I have pretty much been in the house since Christmas (except one day which was a disaster) and it really isn't doing much for my mental health.

Concentrate on you and what you need at the moment, be kind to yourself and drink lots of tea. Thinking of you.

I completely agree with that. I am hopeless if I'm not in control.

Hope he's not calling all the shots Pauline.

I think a lot of us are living in comfy clothes at the moment. At the end of the day we just need to eat less and move more, so simple in theory :)

Debtfreeduo - I've been stuck in the house more or less since last Saturday apart from taking my dog for a walk. Although I've done loads of decluttering which is a bonus. Almost looking forward to going back to work just to go somewhere.

I've been living in my pyjamas this week, grateful for new ones for Christmas so at least they are nice pyjamas but even so.

I can't stand it any longer, I like staying in the house for the odd day but if its for days on end and I have no choice in the matter then it gets me really down.

Another one who has spent the week in her pyjamas reporting in. However, since I'm feeling better now, as of tomorrow I'll be getting out and about ready for back to work on Wednesday. Typical really - getting sick on my own time.

Hope you're still making progress Pauline.

  • Thanks everyone for popping by.

I bought fruit, salad and yogurt but did forget bread. I've had a sensible meal tonight so I feel better

Well, keeping the tablet downstairs is proving to be very very difficult but has been achieved thankfully. I can't believe how I've come to rely on it so I will keep going with it.

I know fresh air is important but sometimes getting through the door is simply not possible, even going into the garden. Again though I will persevere and it will not beat me.

So far, he holds all the cards as it is his house. He could tell me to go at any point. So 2018 is the year where I get back into work.

    Take care everyone
