So yesterday I painted the boys room. Just have to hand two shelves and get a new carpet fitted and that is completed. I wanted to buy all the bedroom carpets at once, but think I am going to have to just do them one at a time.

Today I went to a different two to church to see a friend who was recently ordained. Was lovely being back in church and so nice to catch up with her.

Kids week is going on sale on Wednesday and has increased the age to 17 for one year so the girl can still go! I have money set aside for tickets, have gone through the show's we want to go for, I have done endless research on ticket prices and seat reviews and am all ready for it 😁 there area few we definitely want to see, but I am happy to book the tickets directing we don't get tickets through kids week. But if I can at least get hairspray and horrible histories I will be happy.

So family gathering on Sunday was nice. But annoyingly the smallest had a cub thing that was booked in the morning which he was really looking forward to, totally forgot to go 🤦 having to get used to things being in the diary again!

I have really overspent right now. I caved and bought myself some new clothes. Was getting a bit desperate. I have dropped half a stone, but need to try and lose some more. From a health perspective more than anything. I am trying to walk more but think I need new walking socks and shoes. More expense.

Started painting the smalls rooms. Will complete it this weekend. Then I need to get some gloss and do the woodwork. Which I loath doing. But it needs it. Also still to hang the boys shelves. On the list for Saturday. I want to get the three bedrooms completed before Christmas. Make it my present 😁

In other news the boy had an online induction for one if the college course he has applied to. He did it because I persuaded him too, he was adamant he was going to the other college. However he loved it. It will really suit him, but he needs to pass his maths to get in, so it may not happen. But he was all excited about it, first time . The other course would be fine but this is way more him. Only issue is that it may lead to uni which he wasn't planning on, and if the girl takes a year out they would be starting at the same time 😱😱😱 not great!

Anyway, off to cook tea, and praying for a magical money tree to appear.

Well there was a nother birthday. On the hottest day of the year the boy turned 16! Requested Chinese for tea, was soooo hot 🔥

I have had two days retraining for my other job. I am covering for my colleague as she is away next week. I need to do lots of extra stuff as it's month end, so more complicated especially as I haven't looked at it for a year. Anyway she has set up as much as she can and I have to hope I can do it. I am not in charge of paying people one of the directors does that, but I am the person who provides the figures needed! But as my colleague said, nothing I do can't be undone when she returns. However I am aware that what I do this week will possibly impact on me going back regularly in September.

Been looking at my self employment as well. I need to rejig my clients and hours for September to fit the other job back in. One client is leaving the area in Oct/Nov so will stop with them at the beginning of September, which is actually a big help with fitting everything in. Just need to get clients to agree to new days/times. But I know the boss has a huge backlog of people waiting, so worst case I can change clients.

We are off the week beginning 2nd August. Can't wait. Just keeping everything crossed that none of have to isolate. The smallest is missing his last week at school as his entire year went into isolation yesterday. We. Have been so lucky it's only the second time any of have had to isolate. The girl missed the work bubble going down just after Xmas as she had time off, for a week she was the youngest person working as it was all the college kids off. Anyway nothing big planned, beach, zoo, Lego building, maybe a country park visit. And me and the girl have theatre trips booked. If the shows can actually stay open that is. I have my vaccination proof all ready, but not sure how the girl needs to show a negative test result.

Anyway enough waffle, I keep meaning to update more regularly and then get sidetracked 🤦

Financials look ok. Not sure how they will look come September though!

Boy has been offered a job interview! Just needs to call up and arrange it. He only applied last night, he specified that he heard about it from an existing employee and she had already talked to her managers so have everything crossed he gets taken on. Will save me £50 a month as I can stop his allowance, and he wants a proper gaming pc but they cost ££££ he can save up himself if he is earning.

I bit the bullet and ordered the bedroom furniture. Being delivered the week before Xmas 😂 gives me time to get the wardrobes out, carpet in and decorate. I finished the smalls room this morning and ordered their new carpet. I want these three bedrooms done by Xmas so should just about do it! I did have to put it on a card, will bt and pay it off in the next few months. Not ideal, but should be easy enough to clear.

Off work for the next week. First proper time off since Jan and very much needed.
