So cc application accepted. Should receive it this week.
Spent hours painting this weekend. Utility room almost finished and the girls room only needs one more coat on one wall. Will do it Wednesday when she is at work.
I spent hours at the weekend trying to sort out how to import transactions into some software for the volunteer role. Am actually beginning to regret agreeing to it. I also need to sort something with HMRC for it too. Going to give it another go tonight. Me and the girl finally cracked the importing issue, but I need to do some more research before I do it.
Otherwise just ticking along right now. Not a lot happening obviously! Need to chase workmen too.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉4 -
the amount you are painting is putting me to shame...….I still need to paint my kitchen
physical and mental activities, you are definitely like a whirlwind of activity

Been neglecting my diary!
So finished painting the girls room, painted some of ours and have the ain't to do the boys room and finish the small twos room. Just haven't been bothered to do it. Will do them when they are back at school on my Monday off I think. Can't do any more in our room until the huge wardrobes go which will probably be towards the end of the year.
Bought an expensive sideboard. The TV unit finally came and we got the bigger TV for it, and then my ike@ kallax sideboard looked cheap and silly. No other furniture in the front room apart from two nice sofa end tables so decided that we could afford to splash some cash on a nice sideboard. Along with the expensive TV unit it will last a very long time! The bigger TV meant we could push the sofa back against the wall and I bought a nice rug (which hubby hates 🙄) so I finally feel that the front room is coming together. Just need some curtains but I want to go and actually look at some so waiting for shops to open.
Plumber booked in for June to do the work in the downstairs bathroom. Othet two will need to wait a couple of years, but nothing is broken, they are just not to my taste.
Glazers came and double checked measurements for the internal window for the girls room, picked the glass I want so that is on order, will bea couple of months though.
Handyman came and checked out the back garden so he can quote for taking out all the shrubs. Unfortunately one of the neighbours fences has tipped over blocking the shared alleyway that gives us access into the back garden without going through the house. Will have to go and speak to them about getting it shifted before he comes to do it, although he is so busy it will be June I think. I have plans for the garden but this year it will just be shrub removal I think.
Anyway best go get dressed, need to get off to work.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉5 -
Been a busy week at work was looking forward to the weekend but have somehow been roped into doing some extra hours today 🤦 couldn't really say no, this month money will be down. Still a couple of clients not come back and I want to be able to fund the work I have planned.
Anyway two coffees down and just about ready to work 😂Debt free Feb 2021 🎉5 -

Good to have plans. New furniture sounds nice and getting the windows done sounds fab too. It's on my list for once we're debt free...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Nothing much happening here. Still undecided on bedroom furniture.
Received the £500 tax credit payment. Weird system, as although we qualify for wtc, we have a 0 award due to income, but still get this payment. Seems silly, but it will pay for the internal window.
I was paid so all set aside for the mortgage payment. Will be overpaying from 1st May, need to knock 5 years off it so an extra £250 will be going towards it every month. Will see how we go, but may try some challenges to pay a bit more over time
Booked a beach car park for the smallest birthday next month. It's all he wants, to go to the beach! Although we are not to far from the coast, (45min drive) actual beaches are not very common. This one is about an hour and a bit away, but is well worth the drive.
And finally I had my first vaccine today. Hubby is booked for the 9th. Such a relief tbh, I had originally booked one on the central site during this last lot but it was for a city half hour away as no appointments locally, and long story short, hubby couldn't be booked at the same time (being a non driver is a real annoyance sometimes!) But I wanted it done asap so left it for there. Then last night got the GP text and that system offered first thing this morning at a local venue, so cancelled the other one (was for next weekend so someone will snap it up) and went today. Hubby also had the text but 9am on a Monday with no warning is apparently impossible for him 🙄 anyway keeping an eye out for side effects, but so far all good.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉3 -
Received the self employment grant. Have been down this month again due to people still not wanting to have me back. Anyway, this is paying for the work being done to the back garden (booked for end of May) boiler service and some electrical work that is booked in. Feeling like I am finally getting some stuff done!
Cats had a birthday (1st) have treated them to a new cat tree, it's a solid wood one so should last a while. The ones we got when we first had them were very cheap ones to see if they liked them, they have been very well used! Both now replaced with decent ones more suitable for a large breed.
Mortgage Overpayment starting from 1st May, set up a regular one so the direct debit has been adjusted. Means it is a priority and will just get done as part of a monthly mortgage payment and it will become the norm.
The boy has had some ok test results towards his GCSEs. He sits some assesments from next week and would appear to be actually finishing school at the end of May 😱 although he has a prom booked and paid for in July, so fingers crossed that can go ahead. So glad we didn't splash out on a prom dress for the girl last year!
I spend a blissful two hours browsing some shops on Monday didn't spend anything, but just being able to go and look at things was nice. I now have some ideas on what curtains I am going to get for the lounge too.
Otherwise just plodding on.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉5
