Maybe now is a good time to get someone with the power to delete every post bar the original so the thread can actually get back to the original point!

    Time to move on...

Good spot btw, shame Volare only fly to Manchester!

Having spoken to a friend who also works for First Choice, she does not believe that you are allowed to post in this way, under the terms of your employment. She believes that your employer would class this as touting.

I have passed on details of your posts to her, in order for her to check the position of your employer.

You really need to take some time away from your computer screen for a reality check. I don't see why you are bothered about what people post, you are not a moderator and you have no right to interfere into someones job in this way. As other people have said, if the OP never mentioned she was a travel agent no-one would be any the wiser.

If trying to get other members sacked is how you get your fun then you seriously have some issues you need to get checked out, and quickly.

Do us all a favour and don't post unless you have a positive contribution to make.

i don't understand this post at all!!!!!!!!! Someone posts to tell us there are cheap flights out there and is murdered. If someone worked for Ryan air and said hey guys watch out Ryan air is having it's cheap flights we would be happy. When someone working in Tesco gives us an insider's views on using coupons, or when the food is reduced we are ecstatic. Unless I am missing something I can not see what is wrong. The only thing I can see wrong with the post is that that the poster said cheap flights - (no really) I live in Scotland and "no really" means not really meaning that it is a scam so I nearly didn't look at the post.. This doesn't appear to be a scam and the poster does not seem to be making financial gain by posting it. I am naive and fairly new at this so correct me if I am wrong but it looks ok to me. Thanks jet and I am sorry for the negative feedback and please don't yell at me if I am wrong all you old timers as it would make me and others be afraid to post. Taffy

Taffy, you're quite right mate. Its a genuine offer posted by a genuine person. As you said, if it was someone who worked for Next giving us an advance tip-off as to when the sale started etc there would be no issue.

Certain people just need to chill out and stop looking gift horses in the mouth.

DMG - had your posts removed have you, went too far did you?

perhaps you should appologise to the OP or do you still think you were right in trying to get him/her the sack?

Did dmg remove the posts about sacking someone or did the moderators remove the post? I have never seen anything so crazy unless there is more to this than meets the eye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do not like it when it gets nasty on here, makes me feel like not bothering to get involved.

thanks poe it is nice to have some encouragement as I have saved a lot of money and I get a big kick out of this site and all it's deals. I booked 7 return flights for $7.00 to london for myself and my kids from glasgow and I am so grateful for having had the opportunity to be one of the first to get those flights. PS I used to work in a library maybe I had better not recommend any good books because it might make more people go to the library and it might have made my job more secure!!!!

I'm not saying this thread is wrong, merely the fact that the OP initially failed to mention they were a travel agent (or worked for one) as required, and then posted Atol numbers for first choice, which I rightly pointed out , before they admitted that they worked for first choice.

I also watched them PM'ing members , which is what DMG pointed out.

We have had problems on the Travel forum recently with posters earning money via the site by PM'ing offers to other members , hence the requirements for the new signatures..
