Bother Kethry's recipe says brown bread crumbs (got wholemeal bread flour but not brown) and 3 types of alcohol which I don't have, any easier recipes? Maybe with one type of alcohol instead of having to buy 3 (we don't drink, all I have is 3 year old Tia Maria, Archers and Vodka)
One day I might be more organised...........

  • DD&D your apple braid looks delicious. I'm going to try your recipe. Thanks for sharing it. I have a healthy stockpile and with it, and my vegetable and fruit garden, I could live happily without shopping for a few months I need be. I think stockpiling saves quite a bit of money on the grocery budget and it saves all that time that's usually wasted on shopping.

  • mmhhh.. darn.... was telling friend about the choc spread and the fact I was going to try drinking choc instead of cocoa powder... "what about the additives etc?" SO... any thoughts on making the choc spread less bitter but without adding any unwanted "extras"?

Also had a thought about the bun dough - it would be yummy rolled like a swiss roll with cinnamon sugar and rasins in between the layers and then sliced and put in the pan, baked and iced - like cinnamon buns/danish pastries!
