Been so busy all week with work-had Mr S delivery on Monday but they forgot half my order-they didn't offer any compensation-shall I give them a call and see what they say? I said it was OK to get it delivered that evening (the stuff they forgot) but I had to miss Guides and am very cheesed off about it.
Mt T s did that to me too, they said they couldn't deliver the rest that week!! i insisted that i had paid delivery charge so that i didnt have to go into tescos, and i wanted my shopping that night! they sent the manager with it :rotfl:we do only live 1/2 a mile from the store which probably helped
used my ice-cream machine for the first time last night - banana ice-cream absolutely fantastic!! how did I manage without one. Used it again tonight to use up 2 grapefruits that came in the box, no-oneis that keen on them, grapefruit ice-cream, who'ld have thought that would work - It was lovely! My waistline is going to get soooooo huge!0 -

I made an apple braid for the first time yesterday. I veganised it and it came out just fine. Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!:rotfl:
Mixed reactions from my brood though. DS and DD2 didn't want any (DD2 is getting as faddy as her brother ) DD1 hates raisins (they are toxic apparently) so she picked those out. Her friend was staying for tea - she doesn't like cooked apple so ended up eating just the bread part. DH enjoyed it - he said he liked the simplicity of it. Anyway there's none left. I had about 4 pieces and DH ate the other 4! I will definitely be doing this again, maybe making the dough as iced buns or something as well.0 -
I was really disappointed that mine didn't rave over the apple braid. Will have to try a variant next time.[SIZE=-1]"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"[/SIZE]

Evening all! What is this thread doing way back here?? :rotfl:
Okay I just wanted to share with you my OS find of the [STRIKE]week![/STRIKE] [STRIKE]month[/STRIKE] millenium! Okay maybe a t i n y exaggeration (sp?) I bought five teeny tiny tupperware square tubs in good old Wilco'sfor a similarly sized price...
I find that they (shared nicely of course) hold exactly one pint! So "Jelly Mountain" is getting depleted... gradually. Mr T's value jellies - they are so Valuey :rotfl: And I get DD2 off to school with a pack up the Jamie Oliver School Dinner Police can't find fault with.. oh, yes, they exist... be afraid, be very very afraid...0 -
The apple braid is soo popular in our house now!
Apple ones for hubby and I ( and any visitors), I leave out the raisens though and have been brushing the top with egg yolk and a sprinkle of cinnamon before cooking - delish!
For the kids I do a nutella one or lots of small plain iced ones - they love them!No Longer addicted to Boots! - Well not today anyway!! :blushing:
