thanks for the muffin recipes! I must organise myself to make some... but... I can't imagine savoury muffins....

YG you should see this new muffin book I got from the bookpeople theres loads of savoury ones in there and having sampled one(two or three :shhh: ) of the sweet potato ones I must say they're rather nice :D
I love Tana Ramseys ones but prefer them as mini muffins.I took some into a meeting at school one day and they flew off the plate!

Bootman thats great news you saved with the voucher :D I resisted the pull of the Panny for a while too but crumbled in the end and to be honest its the best thing I ever did as I made vaguely edible Gluten Free bread but in the Panny its wonderful..(well edible anyway :rotfl: )

We had a bit of an issue at school they had no support in for his nibs today so I brought him home again..Thinking of taking him down to halfdays at present as the Psych suggested.Really not sure because if we start something like this he'll never want to go at all
Sooo we made choccie muffins instead :rotfl:

ooh so jealous of those with a donut maker. I kept seeing them in the shops in the run up to xmas and so want one. I have made them manually before but theyre very greasy being deep fried.

D I might hijack your white choc and raspberry muffin recipe to make white choc and apricot ones. DH loves white choc but isnt a fan of apricots, so he'll have to either grin and bear the extra ingredient, or leave some for me and the kids - ha ha cunning plan!

oh that reminded me, D you mentioning a book from the book people. DS has a similar scheme at school (bookplus?) and they have a book on offer at the mo about one pot cooking. Its £3 and I really wanted to buy it but I did the OS thing and just looked up a recipe I was interested in (I bought risotto rice last week and am going for my first ever attempt next week) and put the book back! cheeky but cheap!

Sass I blitz the apricots down to about the size of sultanas in a mini chopper when I use them ;) Might help sneak them in there :D

Thats a really good idea with the book fair :rotfl: I bet my bookshelves would breathe a sigh of relief if I did that instead...

I found a donut maker in Tesco at last, I was so pleased I got the £10 one.:j

I came straight home and made the recipe I copied from here. My question is they are only cooking on the bottom. So they turn brownish on the bottom side and the top is not done!

Anyone else with the Tesco one, is this right or have I managed to pick up a duff one.

    Many thanks

good to know it's not just mine :)

I'll have a look see if I can find a manual for your BM as for recipes once you know wether its wet or dry ingredients in first, most recipes will work in there ok :D Hope you have lots of fun with it!

Thanks D&DD. How do I find this out?
Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!
  • Dee, thanks for the muffin recipes, I'm dying to try the raspberry and white choc ones but my freezer is groaning at the moment, we'll have to get eating up to make some room. The grandchildren should help out with that during half term!

Congratulations on the way you cope with your little son and turn out all the wonderful food as well. You are such an inspiration - well done.

Just had a quick look through and its a liquids first one.So whatever recipe you are using (you can download most machines manuals online for recipes ;) just make sure you switch it so the liquid is first followed by the dry stuff. You know we expect pictures of your first success lol...no pressure :)

I'd just stick a basic white one on to testdrive it..do it on the fast setting so you don't have to dribble too long while you can smell it baking:rotfl: That way you'll be eating your first bread by lunchtime :j
