Yategirl. YES Lemon Curd yogurt is OUT OF THIS WORLD thankyou for reminding me. I haven't made yogurt for ages for practical reasons (DH will only take a bought pot to work) but I am planning to do so again when he retires, so I'll have to remember that one.

Another of our faves is a tin of Mandarin oranges and some brown sugar in about a pint of yogurt - YUM.

rosieben re your microwave. Do you have a Co-Op near you ? We got our Daewoo KOR63 MDC microwave from there a few months ago for £40 and I think it's great. Noticed the other day that they still have them. Had a combi before that but found I didn't use it as a combi and that it took up too much space. One of the things I like about the Daewoo is that has an acrylic lining, had a micro before with painted lining and the paint soon started to peel off. HTH

    I've been Money Tipped!
I have only just found this thread I can't believe it, the amount of time I spend on this site!

I just wanted to say I have only got to page 15 so far and It's great, I hope to have read to the end before bed time. I have been reading for an hour.

I am making notes as I go, The photo's of all the baking as just brilliant. There are so many things I want to have a go at and I am only a little way through reading!

    Many thanks everyone

Just to add it now 10 o'clock - have been reading solid since I posted! I decided to have some spend free days but it looks like I now have to buy a doghnut maker, french bread tin, loads of bread flour. Some more apples to make a braid.

I have a mountain of butter in the freezer as I have been making it from cheap cream from Mr T. So I am okay there!

Can't wait till the morning now. Thank you everyone!

oh dear..... I get bags of malted (not granary) flour from a mill in East Yorks. Family live over there, it's less than £9 for a 16kg bag. SOmetimes put seeds in as well.
