I only need 2 sets because DS is the only one who wets. He was too lazy to get out of bed so we put him back in a nappy one night and DD ridiculed him. He's never wet since!
DD is occaisionally ill. If both beds get used in one night they go into their sleeping bags or come in with us.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
jcr16, just being nosey, how do you cook and what do you serve with your gammon joint? I have one to use and usually they end up being cooked and used for sandwiches here, would like to make more of a meal of it.
Been shopping, I have spent quite a lot but in my defence most of it is on non food, enough bog rolls to last until after Xmas, washing powder, other cleaning stuff etc etc, got the other things I need, yes I need 3 bags of sugar, same of flour, because I get twitchy if I have any less in. Didn't buy anything for the freezer so that is still going well. One day I might be more organised...........

Jamie [hugs] for your friend's baby.. hope he is better soon and !!{hugs}} for you and saying goodbye to your car... I remember my car going when I became a sahm... twas a sad day
Been a yeuchy day.... we are all tired and need time out from the stresses of everyday life.. and today we seem to have taken it out on each otheron a good note ds1 and I gutted his room, got rid of the rubbish and it is currently tidy and ready for the christmas influx.... but how long it will stay tidy for I do not know(!) Am going to do ds2's room this week. I have made some jammy iced buns for tea but we gave in to our tiredness and got some chips to go with lo chicken... instead of the bubble and squeak we should have had... feel a bit guilty about that as I have spent so much money on christmas stuff and haircuts this week... not good....
Have also been having a read good read of Rhonda's blog - not been right back to the start before and twas a good fascinating read. Also enjoyed today's storecupboard posts - thanks RhondaI am going to sort my storecupboard items out this week (I have a box or two under my bed!!!).
Ok... quick query to you like-minded peopleI have been sorting ds2's clothes and have a pile of too small stuff... some I can pass on via freecycle but some I don't feel is good enough to pass on so I will convert into cleaning cloths (recycles the clothes into something else and saves me money on buying cleaning stuff.... I will be buying dishcloth cotton though as I need some new proper dishcloths
) but what other "alternatives" do you recycle (as in apart from glass/tin/paper)??

what other "alternatives" do you recycle (as in apart from glass/tin/paper)??
depends on how you define "recycle". i suppose some of what i do is strictly "reuse", not recycle, but .. *shrug*. i garden, so i try to think of things to go in the garden. Loo rolls, for example i keep and plant seeds in them, the loo roll rots down and the roots just grow through them (they do, when planted, push up wierd mushrooms. i wouldn't eat em!). mushroom trays, those plastic things that mushrooms come in are great as seed trays. I've a whole stack of those! tetrapacks and milk bottles can be used as seedtrays too. tetrapacks can be sent back to the manufacturer for recycling proper. material i hang onto.. never know when you can make something else out of it. ditto cardboard boxes and bubblewrap, in case i need to post stuff. jam jars i use for bottling. christmas cards and paper i reuse as well. ditto birthday cards. lol (not the whole card, i just cut bits out to use as part of a whole new card). beansprout's blog has some good ideas with regard to things like reuse and recycling, if you want more tips.

A while ago a link was posted on here about a site where you could type in all the ingredients you had in your cupboard and it would give you a list of recipes to try.
