Hiya Yategirl forgive me if Johannes already answered this I'm catching up properly from pg 48 lol http://www.scouts.org.uk/aboutus/6-25.htm it says on here Beavers are 6-8 site has loads of info on it which may be of use :D

Thanks D&DD!! I havent had the chance to reply..! :)

Yategirl - if your still struggling to get little one on a waiting list, give me a PM with a rough idea of where you live (e.g. county or city/town) and i'll use my national contacts list to try and find someone in your area who will be able to help you find a place or a space on a waiting list!

They are never too young to go on a waiting list either as my nephew was on one from when he was 3 weeks old because the group his grandad helps run is so popular!:rotfl:

Gosh sammy didnt see your post till id posted a reply (missed out this last page when catching up :o ) Hope everything is ok and this weather stops soon.

I have done a big stock up on my tins and things this weekend..!! Naughty i know as i wasnt running that low....:o But sainsburys sent me loads of "£3 of a £30 spend" vouchers to use each week over xmas and new year... So i thought id take advantage and stock up on all my basics as its 10% off and as i buy mostly "basics/smartprice/value" stuff that £3 off can buy an awful lot! ;):D

Its been handy too as im struggling carrying stuff with 22 week baby bump already as my bad back kills me (god help me when she grows bigger - i wont be able to move!!) And so i have grabbed a lift with my parents to sainsburys when they have been going and they even help push my trolley and help me with my bags! :o So im thinking stock up now with all i can and will save big heffalump me struggling the shops in coldest jan/feb/march in snow and rain with tons of bags to bring home.

Yesterday i paniced a bit as couldnt stick completely to my list as they didnt have some of what i wanted so had to choose smaller cheaper quantities/alternatives and was worried id come in under the £30 at the till - so i threw in some extra storecupboard things not on my list...and when i got to the till and she totalled it all up it come to spot on £30.00!! :D :j So i actually got MORE than i expected to get and spent less money and the least id have to to be able to use my voucher! :p

Stocks look much healthier now and im feeling much more relaxed about them...Still have 16 nights worth of evening meals in the freezer too! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Might post some photos later - my stores look like an advert for sainsburys basics lines! :o

Hi Sammy, what a nightmare it all sounds. We live in Somerset and I thought that the winds were battering us, but its nothing to what you've experienced, my thoughts are with you. Do Tesco do deliveries in your area, might be better to pay the delivery charge that venture out on dangerous roads, if its a big order there are always various codes around that cover delivery costs.

Morning all, just! Well yesterday was a bit of a wash out as far as Chrimbo shopping was concerned, took girls to bowling party, and the hosts were 45 mins late! So didn't reach shops till after 4pm. Ah well, did get the kids some hoodies for £5 each in Primark for Chrimbo, nice plain ones. Stopped in at Asda on the way back and got lots of wine for pressies, the £8 bottles are still at 3 for £10! Also bought some beer, cider and lager, store cupboard essentials! Out in garage to stop oh just taking the odd one or two, they're meant to cover guests visting!

Window man came Friday night as promised, he did some glueing and is meant to be back today, got a big hole where the window should be still, but no point boarding it up as the cats come and go that way. Great fun cooking in two jumpers, okay once oven and hob are all going though! Still fridge must be using less electricity to keep things cold, its perishing out there!

Off to choose Christmas tree this afternoon, so have got mince out to shove in slow cooker in a bit, think fahitas are the way to go, something warm and spicy for when we get home. Will do some quorn ones for dd2 and me! Also need to put bread maker on, get dd's all started on the washing for next week, and ds to sort out dining room for me - pressies all now hidden in loo downstairs! And hopefully persaude dd3 and dd2 to make some cakes for next week, gonna get them to do some of the freezer cookie dough as well, bet it doesn't make it to the freezer though! Thanks to the two of you who posted the recipes.

    hello :)

Thanks everyone for recycling/reuse tips... although I have been reading beansprout's blog.. I have made an effort to search for all her tips and think I might use a pair or two of too small wellies for nasturtiums on the front step this year!!

D&DD and Johanne - thanks for the info re:beavers... I have numbers of 2 of the groups so will try my best to keep phoning this week :)

Sammy - what a nightmare! We are just slightly north of the southwest gales here near Bristol.. just had the heavy heavy rain and light winds.... Hope the weather doesn't get much worse for you.
