:rotfl: I'll need to be just added up my xmas delivery
I plan to do a 'reasonable' shop at christmas..I've starved them all for long enough :rotfl: and replace a few of my stores that are becoming worryingly low now (well I still have more than a dozen breadflours but thats too low for comfort..) It currently stands at £183...although its not coming til the 21st so theres more than enough time for pruning..and TBH I did do it while I was starving (ooh and OH says he's sure I got the snowman one from Asda!!)The large one that is..not sure where I got the large tree one from but the small/individual ones came over from the states via Ebay

I have the tree one, why, since I only use it during December, I don't know..oh wait  - seasonal cooking:rudolf: You should only cook with things that are in season..!

!!Todays important safety tip Never! Shop While Hungry!!

Asda hey, hmmm... 24 hr one down the road... *Slam! sound of footsteps running outside..*

i guess that makes you BedLinenAnonymous Member No 2 :) welcome to the club! Here's your free pack of bedlinen, please make sure to fold it properly, and we expect that when you use it on the bed, to make the bed with *hospital corners*, when dirty, to lovingly wash, dry and iron each and every item, before refolding and stacking neatly in your BedLinenCupboard. With an obligatory nice smelling thing in there to keep out moths and other nasties. :D

p.s. sorry Dee. i know. its off topic.xx

Don't worry about that Keth can I join too lol..my 'linen cupboard' is half an airing cupboard full of stuff balanced on top of the boiler at a very precarious angle

oh better than that.. open wood fire in the living room.. aga in the kitchen.. *fully* equipped large kitchen (and i do mean fully.. right down to dehydrators, donutmakers, every gadget you could want) with a large kitchen table for everyone to sit at, a large fridge and a couple of freezers, and a walk in pantry.. walled vegetable/kitchen garden, chicken run and a pig sty (to feed them all the bits from the kitchen).

all that's obligatory.. *nods solemnly and sighs wistfully*

    keth
    xx

You've just described my dream house...*maybe without the pigs til I get going* but yes that sounds just like paradise to me (including the orchard Rosie):D

Lesley there is some sort of composting system that I'm sure I've seen on here as well as downsizer, that eats 'other' waste such as cooked meats, bones and other bits you don't put in to normal compost.I'll have a look try and find a link..(this should have had a warning sticker again sorry!!!):o

Thanks for asking how it's going, well actually, but still giving me the shivers, eaten lots & still lots left. The main objection usually comes from DP who tends to get 'bored' and wants something we don't have. I have a brisket somewhere I'm going to get out in the morning, when I find it, for Sunday. Need to get some more baked spuds out for lunch tomorrow, DS2s request. No idea what to do for dinner tomorrow yet, will have a dig through when I go hunting for the other stuff. Decided not to meal plan as such and use it as I find it :rotfl: saying that I tend to get uncomfortable without a meal plan :o With the amount of 'things' on with school and stuff I think it will be easier.

Suppose I could calm myself by putting in my Tesco order in for the week before Xmas, suppose I should get it booked really. DS2s off earlier than I thought so delivery would be easier for the store cupboard stuff.
One day I might be more organised...........

Can I move into this house too please? It's got to have a nice big veggie and soft fruit plot. Chickens and or ducks.
I cleared out all of my linen so that there are only 2 sets for each bed. Now it's folded neatly (Anthea stylee) and kept in a plastic box. I have another plastic box on top of it for towels that never get to it. They end up being stuffed on the bathroom windowsill!!
Still haven't got round to stripping that chicken though!

lil_me I always book mine the day the slots come up as ours is so busy they go really fast..ours is delivering up until 23rd but I have always had mine on the 21st so it leaves room for disasters like the turkey not turning up(also saves me clearing the freezer to store it as it is fine out defrosting for 2 days then cooked up on the 23 or 24th to save a mad rush on xmas day*we go to my parents early, not back home til they go out at 1pm for lunch at aunts*

Glad the using up is going well:D :D I always usually find it hard this time of year as we normally have a lot of different things in.. treats and stuff that are taking up room in the freezer, space that I can't afford be without..its weird as I have none of this in yet 'til the big shop comes so its very tempting to fill it up now with makes :rotfl:

Unfortunately my local council arent giving them out.The closest we came to it was when they launched a scheme for a collection service for food waste but it didnt last long
