I'm not going to tell you that I have over a dozen sets of bed linen, and only my one bed!!!! and more towels than you can shake a stick at too........

I definitely have chicken envy, I remember collecting eggs and choosing one for my breakfast when I was little, there's no taste like it!!

I'd love a big walk-in pantry, that would be wonderful; that and a big walk-in airing cupboard and I'd be in heaven!! :j

Back on topic :o I'm loving this thread, really enjoying hearing about other people's experiences. :T

I'm just getting my last Mr T deilvery ordered, thats the last for this year, and hopefully wont have to shop then for a couple of months, apart from milk and f+v; I shall be shopping from home with a vengeance!

not sure if this should carry a 'gadget alert' or not - I have a comb binder, I use it to make my own booklets and its especially useful in tandem with my laminator!! :D

I'm compiling a couple of recipe book (microwave/'normal') for regular recipes and things that i know I like and will make again. I've also just made myself a 'projects' book, for want of a better title, and its full of craft, knitting, sewing things that I want to do over the winter. Good to have all the ideas, instructions and patterns together in one place. I added plastic pockets at the back to store sewing patterns etc that I cant or dont want to punch holes in.

I also have plans to make an old style book, with my cleaning recipes and other os information - not really started on that yet though.

My dgd loves to use the binder to make school registers etc when she stays with me and it isnt too expensive as covers and binding combs are re-usable over and over. ;)

Not overly sure If I'd qualify as a member of BLA because in my house you have to be a brave woman to go in search of a different set of bed linen as its all buried under a mountain of other stuff. So I tend to wash and dry and reuse the same bedlinen. But the thought of a cupboard where its all kept neat and tidy and that lovely just washed smell mmmmmm I could be converted.Does the membership come with a house with an open fire? Cos if it does sign me up now!

oh better than that.. open wood fire in the living room.. aga in the kitchen.. *fully* equipped large kitchen (and i do mean fully.. right down to dehydrators, donutmakers, every gadget you could want) with a large kitchen table for everyone to sit at, a large fridge and a couple of freezers, and a walk in pantry.. walled vegetable/kitchen garden, chicken run and a pig sty (to feed them all the bits from the kitchen).

all that's obligatory.. *nods solemnly and sighs wistfully*

I have the old water tank cupboard for linen, put a shelving rack in it so it's easy to sort through. Ds2s spare linen lives in a box on the wall in his room (those shoe rack ones from Ikea) as he wets the beds the most often so it's handy to have it there. Anything that won't fit in there goes in a vacuum pack under my bed. I have an understairs one too, only short and at the minute is crammed full of 'Christmas' when I reclaim it from Christmas I can use it for storage! Nothing that will spoil from getting warm can go in however as there is a radiator on the wall of it. My last house was awful, old council house with no storage, apart from one cupboard I made into a pantry.

Kethry your dream kitchen sounds like mine, but I want one of those 'islands' in the middle. Big belfast sink too.

Still no spending done, have got a corned beef stew out for my dinner as DP said he wants toasties before work (yes he's addicted to them) and then sandwiches to take. Don't know what the boys are having yet, will have a rummage later.

We did go into town today, was weird not spending, apart from one present and a mattress. I kept wandering round shops, going to pick things up then putting them back and saying to DP 'But I don't NEED them' even the market didn't tempt me into buying anything. I think he's more shocked that I bought no groceries than I am.

lightisfading I used fresh chopped chillis in my last one, was lovely, some sliced green pepper aswell.
One day I might be more organised...........

Could we add a small orchard to the list too please Keth? would be so nice to have our own apples, pears, plums, cherries etc to put in the dehydrators we're all acquiring!! :)
