in Credit cards
I currently pay my credit card IN FULL by direct debit every month but will be switching the direct debit to my Reward account because of Tesco ending their DDs to savings accounts.
When should I change the direct debit;
just before my statement date or just after the the direct debit is taken?

Just after the next DD is taken, but make sure you make the next payment manually, in case the change is not made in time.0

If it's a Barclaycard and you change the DD online, they tell you whether you've made the change in time for the next payment.0 -
Definitly after payment has been taken unless you do a manual payment0

I intend doing exactly the same - I will be doing it the day after my DD has left.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. I changed my Virgin DD after the statement date. The DD is showing on the bank account, removed from the old account and is showing the new bank details and the next DD date as 5th Dec in the Virgin account manage DD section.0

After payment is taken and before the next statement date.. and it should work... but keep an eye on it.0
