    Hi all.

applemuncher - ow, ow, ow, poor you.

No plans to spend today but it will be a close call whether the milk lasts till I go grocery shopping tomorrow night.

I have cycled today and will dog walk and then run this evening.

Not much else to say today really, plan to make a chilli for tea and have everything in for it plus some YS flatbreads to go with it.

Today looks set to be my second NSD. Got a call from the temp agency asking me if I want to do two days this week emergency reception cover at a college for an event, before I start my longer term position. I politely said 'Hell Yeah'

  • So, today has been spendy. I used my weekly £10 spending money on some fairy lights and a coffee, of which the fairy lights are now decorating my work desk. I will take them home next week and use them for Christmas decorations in the house. It’s something nice to spend the money on so I’m not so bothered about it as I can use them all year round. :)

I have amended my grocery budget to actually reflect the spend made in the coop the other day by the OH. I had guesstimated over what he spent (by about £2) but it all counts!

OH is making dinner tonight so I’ve done a quick blitz of the dining room, living room and downstairs hallway. Quick hoover, cleaned out the fireplace. I’m now relaxing on here with all my candles :) the room smells lovely.

    NSD achieved 3/15
Clear out - sorted out just few bits into recycling bin. Courier came and picked up the goods that were delivered on Saturday. Hopefully a couple of things will be leaving the flat if all goes to plan this week.
Mental health - have rested a bit more today. A few things crossed off my list of things that need to be done which have been positive.
    Grateful for -
Having the goods picked up. Will eventually get a full refund.
Confirmation of when something else will be picked up.
Getting out the advent religious calendar and started to open up the windows. Doing this in memory of my Mum as we always had one each every year and enjoyed opening them up. Always told each other what was behind the window.
Chilling out most of the day.
Managed to do a few things around the flat - little tidy up and washed the dishes.

Not a NSD so still on 2

Swerved a takeaway! DH came home during a DS2 awful tantrum and suggested we just get a takeaway as he was knackered. I had already soaked chickpeas overnight so we blitzed them, made the most brilliant falafel ever, and had them with pickles and wraps, tahini and salad. They were gorgeous, much nicer than a takeaway and about £20 cheaper. win win win

Spent £18 in the supermarket but honestly can't see myself needing any more food this week - kids ate all the lunchbox yogurts for snack and annoyingly DH helped himself to a late night snack of the kids' lunchbox crisps so i was a pack down. Decided to stock up on coffee too as I was spending.

    Grateful for -
resisting dairy free Ben & J3rrys at twice the price of the dairy version, but was still tempted.
    Coffee.
That DS2s self destructive meltdown lasted an hour this time before he caught himself on.
Fantastic home cooking trumping the evil takeaway temptation
    Hot water bottles.

  • NSD 2 today. Its amazing how much I get done in the evenings when not distracted by rubbish on the TV. House is slowly getting less cluttered and messy. All thanks to this group and posting daily. Now I just have to keep it tidy
