To be honest Wannabee I think looking after your littlest IS a full time job! That's why she has been awarded DLA - because she needs extra help. It's not the same as deciding that you don't WANT to work, it's a case of the situation at the moment means you CAN'T go out to work when there is no one available who is able to step in for you.

Things hopefully will improve in the future with regards to her health, but at the moment, in my opinion, she needs you to be there for her, as and when she needs you to be.
As for people 'judging' you, anyone with half a brain will realise that a child with the kind of problems your littlest has can't be left to God and providence while you go out to work! Plus the stress this must be putting on you trying to make arrangements for her to be seen to while you go can't be helping your MH.
Mavbe you can try and interact with people on the days that she's able to go to school.
I really hope that you can sort this out without feeling guilty about a situation that is beyond your contol and realise that you are doing an absolutely fantastic job of bringing up your little ones in a loving happy home. :A XX
    Couldn't agree more with this!

Hope things go well for you with your meeting :)
  • Hi lovely,

Thinking of you today, I'm sure that the meeting will go well.

I definitely think that a 12 month sabbatical is needed to help you care for lil DD, once she's in full time education you can then rethink going back to work but at the moment she needs you.

Whatever you decide I know you'll do what's best for your family.

As for making sure you fill your time....judging by what you do already, that won't be a problem, you put my efforts to shame xx

    Well decision made.

They where in agreement and have said their will be a job to go back too when things are easier.

Have spoken to relevant places about changes.

    So all change again.

I'm so glad it's worked out for you. And it must be comforting to know that there's a job there for you in the future, if that's what you want. Have a sit down and a cuppa. xxx

  • Gald you've made the decision Wannabe, ihope that you feel more at rest now that you dont have the worry of sorting child care etc. for next week.
Did you start the claim for carers too? it sorts out pretty quick so bringing you some money in while waiting for everything else to update. It is counted for tax credits but doesnt make a huge difference.
Do another check and make sure you are getting everything you should be.
    Enjoy your afternoon, worry free.
