That grant is ridiculous. I saw our council advertise £125 for all and £200 for year 7! Such a stark contrast and so unfair to this who really need it.7

Only year 7 and 9 here.
Don't know if that will work ive tried to crop personal details off.
Crazy how it differs so much.“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”6 -
I know that it all helps but £25 won't buy much if the school is insisting all these ridiculous items for a uniform. Somebody really needs to take a serious look at this whole issue.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5

Hi WB
I also feel better when my cupboards and wardrobes are tidy but that doesn't mean to say they always are
I just had a quick look at what our Council offers for uniform grants and the first 5 suggestions are to ask school if they sell second hand, try charity shops, buy generic from supermarkets (as though they have no idea about logo's), approach a charitable trust or apply for some sort of scholarship funding. The very last thing on the list says you can apply to the council for a grant, but no idea how much that is. I suppose just like other areas cuts have been made, which is understandable, but not if parents are still having to buy specific items with logos on.
Weather has been nice here today although a bit on the cool side, but dry which is the main thingGood to read you're all well and happy. xx

As far as I can see our council does not give uniform grants at all. Why doesnt that surprise me.

Morning
Just popping in. Nothing really to say 😳
Still here. Still doing the same things.
Hope you're all well x“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”8 -
Pleased you are well and that you can relax with no home schooling now it’s school holidays - tomorrow for us but I think we’re about one of the last to break up.Have the doctors said when your littlest can start to reduce the self isolation yet? It would be nice if you could go for a walk and have a picnic somewhere quiet away from crowds.
You have done an amazing job looking after all of you in these crazy times 👏👏January spends - £587.587 -
Hi WB
Good to hear that you're all still well. I agree with Milann, it would be nice if you were able to just go for a walk for a change of scene. If DD2 needs to still stay in isolation come September will DS be able to take himself to high school and do you have a somebody on standby for taking DD1, or won't it make any difference if the other two are mixing with people anyway?
Weather is atrocious again isn't it. It fools me every morning into putting a load of washing in, then just as I'm about to peg out it rains! So frustrating. xx5 -

No Milann we should still be staying in. But we have had to go out on Tuesday. Just avoided people.
We have a pool beanie but we've had nothing but rain for what feels like weeks. We get out into the garden as much as we can. We are still doing some home learning even though it should be the holidays.
No plans for September yet Tea. No one can decide on what advice to give. So I'm just preparing for the older two to go back and will see nearer the time on what the plan is.
After another wet day I'm waiting for washing to dry so I can make our beds before me and youngest can get in them.
We are making use of the time learning things they struggle with, baking and just doing everything a little bit slower.“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”5
