I think the nurse has it exactly right. You have a lot of common sense and you will do everything in your power to keep your children safe. If they are sitting outside the back door where no one else has been and you are thoroughly disinfecting the area before and afterwards I don't see what harm it can do. If only everyone else was being so sensible.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6

It must be so hard wannnabe we have found it a challenge with a 1 and 3 year old and that has been with using the gardens most days!! It sounds like you are doing a amazing job despite all the difficulties you are facing.

Wow, that's harsh. I think you are being sensible just letting them near the back door."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4

WF, In my recent googling I found this - www.box.co.uk/bursaryPlease let one of us nominate you for a phone and a laptop (and we can get you a dongle to get online without broadband too). I know you might be concerned about your privacy and I suspect you dislike the idea of charity help but these are extraordinary times and you and the children deserve some help and if not you it will just go to someone else. I think at least one person on here already has your contact details and could do it if you agreed? I'll send you a PM too .

I admire the way you have kept to the rules but you know better than anyone the price your youngest might pay should she catch it. You are one amazing lady.
I feel for your other 2 children particularly your ds. I know Year 6 at our school usually have a great year - top of the school, school plays and visits as a bit of a reward for completing SATS and getting through the school. It’s a tough old time for the children.....it must be quite scary looking through a child’s eye at the current times.
It’s amazing how some children with SEND are so rigid in what they’ll eat and not eat, and the way they know if the company changes the recipe. One boy I worked with only ate Barney Bear cake and the cream out of Oreo biscuits. Another girl small cubes of Cheshire cheese but if it was broken or crumbled she wouldn’t touch it. Both these children were tube fed overnight though.I’m not at all surprised you were upset at being told your lockdown is longer. I’m upset for you. You’re doing great.January spends - £587.587 -

Thank you
Sorry for the silence. School work and everything feels like a constant juggling act. Along with paperwork. Appointments. Video consultations. Finances. Meal plans and everything else.
Milann youngest is tube fed over night and through the day. Although I've tried to cut back quite significantly through the day so she feels hungry. She has really bad oral aversion so its been very slow and it's still very limited. She's very fussy and very specific it what she's willing to touch never mind try and taste. I always include her at meal times though and it seems we've made a lot of progress while in isolation. I actually think isolation has done us all some good. All three of them are sleeping better and seem happier.
We've been catching up on some of the school work. Not really baked as eggs and things are just so expensive and in short supply. In fact I think the majority of the food things are more expensive. It's still really hard to get the basic brand items on the grocery shop.

I’m definitely spending more on food, paying more for things because the basic brands seem to have disappeared. You’re doing really well under the circumstances. How lovely to hear you are all feeling happier 💕🌈I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Hi WB
Glad you and the children are all well. I've changed supermarket because there's no chance of deliveries here yet so it's easier and quicker to go to another one and although I can get everything they only sell branded for things like cereals, teabags, soups etc. so I'm paying more as well. The other thing I'm noticing with the branded cereal, is even the ones that aren't actually supposed to be sugary taste really sweet to us. I can't wait to get back back to my usual mid range, less sugary ones.
You're doing well keeping up with the schoolwork. I can't see the children going back to school before September can you? Actually if you're in isolation until July, yours definitely won't be going back will they. DS is getting a bit bored now and wanting to see his mates. Hard to think if they are off until the new school year starts it'll have been 6 months since they've been.
Anyway, hope you're managing to keep yourselves occupied and thanks for the texts, the hospital info was interesting. I'll let you know if anything happens but I'm not holding my breath. Take care. xx

You really do have your hands full Wannabe. I’ll say what I’ve said before - you are amazing. HOW can the benefit folk say you aren’t entitled to extra cash to help you. Don’t suppose you’ll hear anything with all the virus stuff going on.....makes me so mad 😡
it’s good to hear everyone is happy. I’ve heard a lot of folk say the same from school. One child I work with in particular. I wouldn’t be surprised if they home school afterwards....hope they don’t or my job might go too. But if it’s best for the child - so be it.January spends - £587.588
