“Rock bottom became the solid foundation on which I rebuilt my life.”

We had a lazy dinner. Then youngest wanted to make a cake. She made the most basic sponge in the wrong tin because I didn't feel it was a battle worth taking on. However all 3 have eaten nearly the whole thing. I'm surprised it even come out looking like a cake so even more shocked they have demolished nearly the whole thing.“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”7

It really is becoming a farce now. The shelves have been emptied of baby wipes now the toilet paper is gone. No Calpol or Nurofen either. I get that people are concerned but they don't seem to realise the impact this has on other people or that their selfish behaviour is putting children at risk. Absolute scumbags 😡7

Morning WB
I'd eat the cake too no matter what it looked like - cake is just yummy in whatever shape or form
I'd book your slot now for delivery especially if you're keeping the DC's off school. Last thing you need to be doing is fighting the masses in the aisles with 3 children in tow!
Hope you all have a nice relaxing weekend. xx

I have tried to book a sainsbugs slot but they don't seem to be going as far forward as the 25th. I will keep looking.
We won't be going to the shops either way. I will need to come up with a plan for painkillers and liquid paracetamol. Everything else can be purchased online in one form or another even if the majority is more expensive. Youngests syringes in the bigger sizes are still double the cost I paid less than 3 weeks ago.
I will be meal planning and sorting that side of things. Today's still about cleaning and ironing. I didn't do any ironing last night. I have a few windows left to clean too. Need to plan dinner and some sort of baking for snacks. That will hopefully last longer than the cake did!“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”6 -
Can you ring your surgery about the liquid paracetamol. If it's a medical need for DD they should be at least sourcing it for you, even if you're happy to pay for it when they have done. Surely it's no different to me needing BP tablets but them saying now off you go and find them! xx5

Tea the pharmacy have branded. But it's £4 for 100ml. I did get one the other day. I've also reduced giving it to her. To just in the evening and the one at 2am. Going to see how she gets on without it through the day. She can't have ibuprofen unless it's really necessary and paracetamol isn't enough. We will manage as long as her main stuff is found and delivered. I managed to buy enough of the antihistamine while visiting the pharmacies for something else. We have enough for 6ish weeks now (I'm not stockpiling it before anyone hates me) I've just bought it 11 days early so we don't have to go out. I will order nappies/syringes from Amazon as usual.
Pasta seems to be no where. So we will just leave it out the meal plan. It's just a pain as it is cheap and filling (while not the healthiest better than some things)“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”5 -
I just can't understand if they say she needs it why they're not prescribing it, but that aside, as long as you can cope for a few weeks and she's not in any discomfort that's the main thing
As for stockpiling, if you need it you need it. It's people buying things just for the sake of it in a panic that's the problem.
There's nothing wrong with pasta at all. What about the good old potato. Do they like mash, wedges, roasts etc although I appreciate it's probably not as cheap to make a meal out of them. But if anybody can do it you can. xx

I don't really post about youngest eating as it's embarrassing I guess. The older two eat anything. So it's not as big as a concern running out of food for them as they will eat anything. Youngest is awful. She has really bad oral aversions to liquids and things that are wet. She doesn't eat meat. Although at Xmas we where given some "branded" thin sausages and these are now a frequent in her meal plan (hers is different to ours 1. Because I don't buy branded for us at all and 2. We would probably be malnourished) but she eats these. Salmon. Plain rice. Plain pasta. Bread/toast. Sometimes I can convince her to eat some plain chicken. She doesn't eat potatoes other than sometimes fries. She doesn't eat chocolate/cheese/eggs/yogurt/milk etc She's nutritionally okay as she has formula milk. But I do like to make sure she does still eat orally so she doesn't lose those skills/and it continues to improve her speech etc. Oh she does eat custard creams though. It's always been our go to.
