Thinking of you and sending (((hugs))) to you all. Hoping that you start to feel better soon, and that little on improves. XXI Believe.....

Thank you all
Just getting through each day.
Youngest is no worse. Still holding her own with some extra steroids and antibiotics.
I'm still struggling myself MH wise but getting on. My washers broken which means a lot of hand washing which is tough with youngest and her side effects. Washing bedding and 6 sets of clothes a day by hand and trying to get it dry each day isn't easy. I've called them and it's not in warranty (I didn't think it would be it's quite old and is over worked)
I haven't managed to keep up with anyone else's diary so I hope all is well x“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”7 -

Hi WB
Hope the DC's are enjoying half term. I'd normally ask if you have a launderette near you or say these days it's probably cheaper to buy a new washing machine than mend an old one but I don't think either of those suggestions will be much help to you
The washing part is bad enough but how on earth are you wringing them out enough to get them dry? I'd be encouraging lighter PJ's be worn if you're not going out anywhere
Hope you get something sorted. What about the S Army, might they be able to help?
Sorry to hear you're still struggling. Does the nurse still come to sit with DD so you can go to your weekly appointments or have they slipped down the priority list lately? xx4 -
No idea if it's of any help but might the old fashioned idea of a draw-sheet help with the laundry issue? Essentially it's an additional sheet folded double and in this case probably with a rubber sheet underneath it - you put it on the central section of the bed beneath the "likely to be soiled" area if you get my drift - and that then means that if anything happens - whether sickness, or an "accident" you potentially avoid changing the full set of bedding because it's only the draw-sheet that gets dirty. (Hoping I've remembered/described this well enough - it's over 30 years since I've even thought about that principle and I'm quite impressed I remembered it at all!)
Try to remember to take at least a little time - even if just a few minutes with a book, or The Gilmore Girls, or whatever works - for yourself though - you need to make sure you're taking at least some time to recharge.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

We haven't actually done anything over half term tea
the weather has been awful hasn't it. It really puts a limit on getting out and about. I'm not managing to wring them out well it takes ages to dry. No doubt the dryer hates it too.
Luckily EH she has good protectors for the actual duvet and matteress provided from the nurses. Otherwise I don't think it would have been possible to wash the actual duvet by hand.
I've had a look lucky and there's nothing there. I had a cooker provided last year so I think I've 'used up' what we have access too.
Thank you for all the replies forgot to say DD had a lovely birthday. Thank you xx

Hi Wannabe,
Could you ask on Freecycle for a washer? Also would you have space for spare bedding? If so ask for this too.
